This is the easiest way to boil water:

Too bad it’s useless for cooking!

Emperor Palpatine was originally played by an old woman in the original Empire Strikes Back release.

in 1961, marty robbins recorded his #1 hit record, "don't worry," and it was notable for its use of a busted bass guitar amplifier that gave the song its notably unique bass twang.

The monarchs of England, and later of Great Britain, claimed sovereignty over France until the late eighteenth century, although the last English possession in France, the city of Calais, was lost in 1558.

the crude automotive emissions controls of the middle 1970s so emasculated car engine performance, that by 1975 the mighty ford 460 cu.in. v8 had been reduced to 190 BHP [from 365 BHP 5 years earlier, before the worst of the emissions restrictions took place in America]. driveability was generally mediocre, with hard starting, vapor lock, surging, slow warm-up/stalling/stammering and other ails common in the bulk of emission-controlled cars of the era.

The 18th Century Composer Domenico Scarlatti had a pet cat who loved to walk around on the keyboard of his harpsichord because she was fascinated by the sound.

One day Scarlatti wrote down the notes that the cat "played" in one of these "improve sessions", and used it as a motif in his "Fugue in G" that over the next centuries came to be called "the Cat's Fugue"

Though Countess Elizabeth Bathory probably did not bathe in a bathtub full of her victims' blood to stay young and attractive forever, the Empress Sissi would have raw beefsteaks laid against her skin, the bed sheets wrapped snugly around herself to hold them in place, then sleep like that.

Her beauty was legendary.

probably the longest time between a recording being made, and it being released on commercial records, would be-
1937- the prairie ramblers recorded "ghost in the graveyard" and it was kept in the vaults for over 40 years until being released on a country music compendium in the early 80s. patsy cline recorded a concert at the Cimarron ballroom in 1961 but the damaged mastertape ended up being rescued from the trash bin in the 1990s and issued on CD then.

in Shingo Village, or Herai, in Japan, is a tomb believed by the locals to be the final resting place of Jesus.

Yes, THAT Jesus.

The grave of his brother is nearby.

A yearly festival is held at the site.

Some distance away is a tomb supposedly containing the body of Moses.

there are 34 cities/places named "Aberdeen" all around the world, in places as varied as South Africa and Hong Kong, Jamaica, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Texas, Georgia, New South Wales AUS, BC, Cape Breton Canada, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick Canada, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Idaho, Montana, Florida, Arkansas, California, Ohio, North Carolina, Mississippi, Maryland, South Dakota, New Jersey, Washington state, and of course in the home country of Scotland. the one in Washington state's pacific coast is closest to me, it is the "birthplace of grunge" and in general a neat place. :) In 2002 Scottish Aberdonian Fred Bull, a retired art teacher, set out to visit the 34 existing Aberdeens of the world. He travelled over 95,400 miles in the first 16 weeks in his journey.

How much money did the government lose bailing out the banks and car companies?

None. They actually turned a profit, overall.

I still have some problems with the way it was done, like the fact that they never funded the infrastructure projects which we desperately need and would have created a lot more economic benefit. Still, credit where credit's due.

approx. 42 million americans remain uninsured after PPACA, we can do a lot better than that if only there were enough americans of good will that would vote to make it so.

Pinocchio is Itallian for "Pine head".
