Not sure if you're asking me or Kura, but here we'll usually use "kattedyr" (literally cat animal/s) or kattefamilien (the cat family). 'Felider' can also be used, but that's jargon and not how most people speak.

Thanks, Skilpadde (you could've added that as a fifth word ;) ). I would've guessed that "skilpadden" meant "turtles", kind of the like English plural words "children", "oxen" and "brethren".

But that would have made it messy. It makes sense to take it in the order I did. If skilpadden had meant turtles, there would have been 3 words for the plural form and one for singular.
Genitive is the addition of an s without apostrophe.

Skilpaddens skall (the turtle's shell)

Skilpadde is a fairly general word, but it we want to differentiate we can use:

Landskilpadde (tortoise)

Havskilpadde (sea turtle)

Sumpskilpadde (terrapin/ swamp turtle)

less commonly seen in Norwegian is elveskilpadde (river turtle)
