I wonder, since you have to give it "Metal Coat", if there could still be some rock below the steel.

It's so annoying how some Pokemon have to be traded to evolve. What if you are a little girl who doesn't have any friends [like I was several years ago]?

Awesome! That reminds me that I really should get back to trying to breed me some shinies. huh, I never thought of that, but yeah it sounds like there could be. And yet Steelix is Steel/ Ground.

I got a Teddiursa! *dances around happily* I also got a little Dratini from the GTS! I actually made a list of all of my favourite Pokemon, and I've nearly got all of the ones I can reasonably get!

Sorry for double posting, but I just discovered that Ditto can breed with almost any male, female, and even some genderless Pokemon. Now I need to rethink my whole idea that Ditto can only breed with females...I think a Pokemon just used Swagger on me. *sigh*

Yes, Ditto can breed with both sexes and genderless Pokemon. That's probably why Ditto is genderless and what makes it so useful when it comes to sending them to Pokemon Daycare.

Dratini is one of my favorites too, by the way, such a cute dragon. I remember how hard it used to be to catch it, and it would be so low level despite making an appearance late in the game.

Dratini was hard to raise into a Dragonite.

One Pokemon theory speculates that Dragonair was meant to evolve into Gyarados, and Magikarp into Dragonite. Based on the Pokemon's looks, that kinda makes more sense.

Gyarados and Articuno are perfect against Ground Pokemon.

I don't really think that would be stranger than some of the other evolutions where Pokemon lose or gain types. Eevee loses its normal type and if given a water stone becomes fish like for instance. Anyway, it's just one of the many Pokemon theories I've enjoyed listening to on YouTube. I like Pokemon theories
