accuracy varies between parts of the body. fingertips and palms have the most sensitivity, with backs of calves baing near the other end of the spectrum.

World War I officially ended at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. (In other words, it ended on November 11, 1918 at 11am- using the North American date format here, BTW.)

the wicked witch of the west's (margaret hamilton) face paint was toxic and left her face stained green for weeks after filming had finished.

the scarecrow man's facial prosthetic left his face impressed with lines for over year after filming was over.

the tin man's aluminium face paint gave him an eye infection. his earlier actor got an allergic reaction to it and became unable to breathe.

Being gay used to be classified as a medical disorder in Sweden, so on August 29, 1979, a bunch of folks called in gay to work - including a woman who was able to collect welfare benefits. Homosexuality was declassified as a disease within 2 months.
