Puss in Boots: [voice over] Through the years I have been known by many names. Diablo Gato, The Furry Lover, Chupa Cabra, Frisky Two Times and then The Gingerhead man. But to most I am Puss in Boots, outlaw!

Puss in Boots: [voice over] What can I say? I was a bad kitty. Just a fugitive from the law, forever running. Searching for a way to clear my name. And I would get that chance on this one fateful night.

(Schultz enters with a German captain)

Schultz: "Herr Kommandant, this is Captain Müller. He barely escaped the terrible raid!"

Klink: "That raid was a complete failure!"

Schultz: "No, Herr Kommandant! They knocked the stuffing out of the Messerschmitt factory and got away from the Luftwaffe!"

Hogan: "Illustrious Luftwaffe."

Schultz: "Illustrious Luft-"

Klink: "Shultz!"

[addressing all his pretend friends]

Rango: "People, I've had an epiphany! The hero cannot exist in a vacuum! What our storyepiphany needs is an ironic, unexpected event, that will propel the hero into conflict."

[just then we see that Rango is a pet kept in a glass aquarium traveling in the back of a car which swerves, the aquarium falls off the car into the middle of the road breaking]
