You know that Lindsey Quinn character that Mike briefly talked to? Well, she is a major character in a different RP I'm doing so I ended up drawing her:

(You'll be done soon, right? I'm really trying not to be mean here, so sorry if I am... )

As Lilli climbed, they spotted an abandoned pair of shoes on one of the catwalks: so harmless-looking, yet so ominous. They stopped, frozen, in their tracks.

Their heart started beating fast. Was there a body around here? No, the only thing they saw was the shoes, so why only the shoes? Who left them?

They knew it in the back of their head, but they didn't want to think about it.

No no no. No. Surely not, no.

They knew this ledge, this view, those deserted shoes, and they remembered. They shuddered to think of the skulls and the dead man's hand they had found lying in the grass six months ago. Those images were forever etched into their mind.


No. No, they never..! They never went there, there was nothing wrong, they'd never seen it, it's just a figment of their imagination, they thought desperately.


But the ledge said otherwise, the black abyss... tangling with that other black abyss in their view. Soon, the memory and reality tangled and fused together. All became one, and they were standing, there, six months ago.

Mike sees Lilli looking at something and comes closer to see a pair of shoes. That's strange, who would leave their shoes in space? "Are you OK?"

~Flashback~

Mason bursts into Mike's office and enthusiastically proclaims "The United States military has just made a contract with us and they gave us a few million dollars in advance so we can upgrade our infrastructure to keep up with their demand and improve the particle cannon technology as much as we can, this is the single best deal MegaWatt has ever made, and if all goes well this is just the beginning!" Mike is speechless for a moment and thinks about what this means for them and the company with a smile, "That is incredible!"

(I am going to have a flashback the next post.)

Laura tennatively walked towards the corner, and as soon as she saw Lilli, flinched, quickly covering her eyes with her fingers. She heard Calem walk up behind her, and he wasn't screaming in horror. She uneasily moved her hands away from her face to reveal Lilli looking like she just saw a ghost, and a random pair of shoes, just sitting there.

That's not so bad... Laura thought shakily. She looked back at Calem, who looked more confused than scared. She rerembered Sam playing the recording he got. "Sh-shinohara... These are Shinohara's shoes..." The voice echoed in her head. This whole ordeal reminded her and Calem of the Geosenge Incedent, as they call it, being more than a few floors underground trying to stop Lysandre. The main diffrence was that here, there was a feeling of 'we need to hurry', a feeling she much prefered over this slow, uneasy sense of dread.

"I... I am so sorry..." Laura said, scratching at the screen that showed Geosenge town, as if she was trying to get through the screen to there. She turned around to face Lysandre and Xerosic. "YOU! DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT THE HECK YOU'VE JUST DONE?! THE WHOLE WORLD IS GOING TO END AND DIE AND IT'S ALL YOUR AND YOUR STUPID TEAM'S FAULT, YOU MEANIES!!" She shouted, stomping out of the room, a crying, sobbing mess. She hurried up the elevator, wiping her face with her arms, to the point that she just looked very worried, like she hadn't been crying at the fact that she couldnt stop Xerosic from activating the Ultimate Weapon. Once she got outside, she looked around. A girl with dark skin, amethyst colored eyes, and two puffy black braids was huddled in an alleyway corner with an Espurr. A Frufrou was running circles around a tree. A little girl was playfully chasing a Vulpix. Lumiose City was just as busy as usual, completely oblivious to the impeding horrors. At this point, she knew that Team Flare was more than a bunch of jerks that liked to get in their way, they were horrible people. She then decided that she would take it upon herself to stop them. No matter what, even if she died in the process. She tossed a Pokeball into the air. "Sora. We need to go to Geosenge town now!" She commanded.

When she got there, there was general feeling of fear in the town, even given the Crystal Flower of Doom wasn't there. She battled some random Flare minion, not saying a single word other than the commands to her Pokemon. She nervously stared towards a rock when it was over, said rock could now be seen with a door in it. "Laura! Your not in this alone!" A familiar voice called, causing Laura to whirl around. "Calem?" He was a comforting sight at a time like this. He casually walked up to her. "When I was in Lysandre's lab, the masked heroes told me what is going on. They also told me what Team Flare plans to do with the ultimate weapon! C'mon! Let's stop team Flare...No...We have to stop Lysandre himself! I... I want to protect my friends!" Without any further hesitation, Laura grabbed his arm and nuzzled against it. "I do to, why else would I be here?" Calem smiled at her. Why is she always so affectionate towards me? he thought. He knew the answer very well in the back of his mind, but now wasn't the time to be saying those things. However, Laura had no clue if her feelings were returned or not.

They hurried inside, past a bunch of scientists working for Team Flare, all dropping everything they were doing to look at the two kids incredulously. He looked up from the final preperations for their plan and at them, an ominous smile on his face. "The ultimate weapon's flower has finally bloomed above the soil. Don't you find its beauty captivating? As we speak, it draws its energy from Xerneas, the Pokemon of Ledgends. Laura! I apologize that the weapon was unearthed even after you chose correctly in the lab. But conflicting egos drive this world--things don't always go the way you want!" Lysandre scolded. "Ultimate Weapon? We won't let you use it!" Calem shouted.
"Even though resources, space, and energy on this planet are limited, the number of people and Pokémon has increased to an unsustainable level. Whether it's money or energy, the ones who steal are the ones who win in this world. So, tell me. The Keystone Necklace, did you share it?" Lysandre inquired. Laura looked down at her chest, at the sparking, colorful stone hanging from a thin chain on her neck. "I don't think we could cut it in half and keep it's power. So, we had a Pokemon battle over it. Lysandre sighed in annoyance. That is why I am going through with this plan! When there is only one of something, it can't be shared. When something can't be shared, it will be fought over. And when something is fought over, some must survive without it. The only way to create a world where people live in beauty, a world without conflict or theft, is to reduce the number of living things." "I can live without it, you know. That was really a battle to see who out of our group gets to Mega Evolve their Pokemon first." Calem pointed out. "Also, doesn't give you the right to destroy everyone except the few that Team Flare chooses! And what about Pokemon? They are pure hearted beings, you know." A single tear streamed down Lysandre's face. "Pokemon... Shall no longer exist. Pokémon are wonderful beings. Humans have worked with Pokémon, and we have helped each other flourish. But precisely because of that, they have inevitably become tools for war and theft!"

Upon seeing the shoes, Guinan paused a moment, frowning as she, too, recalled when the mysterious people above them had mentioned them. She didn't say anything. Instead, she just looked from Lily to the shoes and back again.

Hi, all. I started reading this thread yesterday. I'm really impressed, and I feel excited to join in once I catch up with the story so far. I'm thinking that my character should basically be the me who would have grown up in the Pokemon universe with my same basic experiences. I only ever had a passing interest in Pokemon, so I don't know much about them or anything beyond the first series. However, I really got caught up in Pokemon Go. I'm a level 28 trainer, team Mystic, and my buddy is a Jigglypuff. The backstory I have in mind is a guy, JR, who was interested in cooking, art, education, and so on, and never really thought much about pokemon until he was in his 40s. Now, he's got it as a special interest and wants to learn more. He loves that trainers have a tradition of dressing outlandishly, and takes full advantage of that. His signature piece of attire is a huge cowboy hat, but molded in the alternative shape, not the usual one.



It will take me some time to finish reading all your writing, but I wanted to say I'm enjoying it. I probably won't look for replies to this post, since I don't want to skip ahead, so PM me if you want to reply.

(So this is it! Yeah, I realize it's unfinished, but at this point I just wanna move on. I spent like a week on-and-off writing this, and now I just want to get going again. So without further ado...!)

March

Lilli shivered and wrapped their coat around them. It was a breezy March evening, and the air was cold.
Despite this, there was no sound.

They were in Caerden, a chilly forest to the north of Levanna. It was a beautiful woodland, filled with ice and the towering trunks of redwoods. Above them lurked the 
People often came here in the winter, but now they felt that it was truly empty.

As soon as Lilli stepped onto the path, they felt like they had entered another dimension. 
There was no sound of birds or animals, and when they looked up they could barely see the light through the twisting canopy of the redwood branches. The only sound was of Lilli breathing, their hurried footsteps crunching along in the snow. They knew they weren't supposed to be here.
When they moved, they swore they could see shadows behind them. But when they looked, nobody was there.

They wrapped their fingers round the rungs of the ladder, and climbed up, up, up to the top of the platform.
They gulped, and at the top of the platform they opened their eyes.

It was vast. They could feel the breeze in their ears and see into the huge drop below them.

Lilli closed their eyes and breathed in deeply. All they had to do was jump.
One jump and it would all be over.

They breathed shakily. This was not what they wanted it to come to. This was not what they wanted to do at all.

But something, something about the way the trees stood perfectly still, the serenity of the encompassing forest, made them want to do it.

In their mind they heard the forest calling to them, begging them to come join it, begging them to come into the earth.

They stepped forward. If this was what they wanted....

They stepped forward...
and then a sound came. Lilli froze.

Meanwhile, the soldiers on the station had become increasingly exasperated by the unknown young woman and her child, and at last resorted to a 'strategical retreat' while they tried to figure out what to do next. Inside the cargo bay, the young woman [Oeuyia--Oo-yee-ah] smiled mischievously as her child [Karion] held her hand as the duo casually wandered off through the wall in search of old friends.

(LOL Kuraudo. Lillikoi, that was quite good.)

"Maybe it was an accident," Guinan said half-heartedly as she started to turn away. She would not get far, however, as long as she saw Lily still rooted to the spot.

(Just for clarification the flashback is only a few seconds. They haven't been spacing out at the floor for five minutes. )

"What's wrong?" Gristle asked.
Lilli looked up at him startled. "... Oh, uh--"

"Did you know that in 1856, after losing a battle against the Bosqanites, King Kumquat the Lesser ended his life by throwing himself out of a--"

"Who the hell is that?" Gristle asked. He whirled about and found himself face-to-face again with...
...Oh. That guy.

"Oh god, it's you." he said, looking slightly repulsed. He raised an eyebrow. "How did you get here? What are you even doing?"

Kiki shrugged. "I am trying to give you relevant facts," they said simply.
