"W-well... if you close your eyes now, and grab onto my hand, I could show you.. and Calem... something really nifty!" Lilli said, their eyes sparkling.

Calem raised an eyebrow. "Nifty? Should I be suspicious?"

"And why just us?" Laura piped.

Lilli grinned. "Nooo!" They tilted their head at Calem. "Think of it. Have I ever, ever, ever tried to trick you or said anything false to you before?" they asked, a sincere look on their face.

He thought for a moment. "No... but then again I've only known you for a few days."

"What is it?" Laura chimed. "And why just us???"

"B-because you're cool and it's a surprise just for my besties, not because my a-a-ability is limited or I've never actually developed my a-actual power!"

"Right, so you don't have all your powers yet." Laura said smugly.

When they got up to the next catwalk, Laura grabbed Lilli's right hand and Calem got their left, and they both closed their eyes.

Lilli did not respond to that statement.

"Look down." they said. And suddenly, if Laura and Calem were to open their eyes, they would see that they were standing in the main hub of the station. Below them, some fifty or so meters, could be seen the shapes of Gristle and Mike and Guinan, little specks making their way slowly upwards, inching their way gradually closer.

"Neat, huh?" they grinned.

Calem looked down in shock, while Laura had folded her helmet back, jumping and squealing happily. "Were here! Were here!" She knelt down, looking through the floor. "Hey! Were up here!" She said with a grin.

Mike looks down and notices something wrong. "Wait, where did Lilli, Laura, and Calem go?" he says rather worried. His voice is transmitted via radio waves to everyone on the call including Lilli, Laura, and Calem dozens of meters above him.

~Flashback~

The new aerospace division of MegaWatt was hard at work coming up with ideas for rockets that they could build and Mike was looking through some of them on his computer. Most of these were very good, and there were even a few fully reusable launch vehicles and single stage to orbit space planes. As he was doing this a thought suddenly hit him. Could particle cannon technology be used to make a more efficient engine? He immediately dropped what he was doing and started doing some calculations. Particle cannons work by using powerful electromagnets to accelerate a magnetic microscopic projectile in a circular acceleration chamber over and over until it flies out the barrel at insane speeds, in an engine efficiency depends on exaust speed and ion engines work on a similar principal, but with the speeds a particle cannon can obtain in theory an engine can be created with a specific impulse of... He looks at his screen stunned, and checks his calculations three times to make sure that this is not a mistake. 3 million! Over 7 thousand times more efficient then combustion rockets. He does a bit more calculating. The thrust is way too low for getting into orbit, but it would make interplanetary travel so much easier. He prints out his calculations and bursts out of his office in excitement to show Mason and the rest of the company.

"Um.. Mike, were up here." Calem said, still bewildered at how Lilli telepored them.

( To Mikeman: Yup. All I had planned was the flashback and the teleportation. )

I might be able to teleport everyone else up there. Enye chimed in suddenly.
Jian narrowed her eyes. "Will you stop doing such risky things just for the sake of others? You've always been too...I don't know--heroic? Besides which, you could end up draining yourself of energy, and since you are basically energy right now..."
Enye unexpectedly flared with light, and it was clear to everyone that she was genuinely angry. You worry too much.
"With good reason." Jian muttered in frustration. "You knew what the White Star spell would do to you, yet you went ahead and used it anyway!"
If I had not used the spell, Aelkai would not be here with us. Enye retorted, glowing a harsh crimson.
"Don't bring Aelkai into this!" Jian snapped, and Aelkai, still clinging to the former's back, sleepily raised her head at the mention of her name.
I...I did not want to see Aelkai die like Ia did. Enye revealed quietly, and before anyone could do anything, she pulsed abruptly until pure white light was all anyone could see. The next thing they knew, they were on the catwalk with Lilli, Calem, and Laura.
Jian stared down at where they had just been, watching the large explosion of light glow brighter and brighter and then fade away completely.
"What happened?" Aelkai asked drowsily.
"Enye has...Enye has...she's...completed her transformation. The White Star spell is finished...She's literally a star now." Jian replied haltingly.

[If you're wondering why I haven't been posting much, it's because I've been working on my stories. Plus I was having trouble thinking up things for my characters to do.]

Mike looks around in amazement. He checks to make sure that there is pressure around him and then folds back the helmet. "W-Wow. How did you just-... Never mind, let's get to the carrier."

~Flashback~
-[2024]-

Mike looks into one of NASA's large vacuum chambers rented by MegaWatt with the prototype Hyperion engine he designed based on particle cannon technology. The decently large unusual looking thruster is suspended in the vacuum chamber and hooked up to systems to gauge how much thrust it produces. One of the techs at the facility gives a countdown and the engine turns on. It produces bursts of thrust about once per second and as the exhaust hits the back of the vacuum chamber a rhythmic pulse can be heard. Someone announces "Engine working, it's average thrust and fuel consumption match calculations with 98.3% accuracy. Average thrust is 312 Newtons, specific impulse is 3.26 million seconds." Most of the people watching the test begin cheering and Mike smiles thinking about how the particle cannon technology is finally being used for good. The techs shut down the thruster and get ready for more extensive tests of the technology.

"W-what...?" Lilli glanced around in confusion. "What was that?"

When the light was gone, they turned around and suddenly saw Mike and co. standing behind them.
"O..oh!" they said, startled. "Well, hiya."
They blinked. "Um, how'd you get up here? ...M-magic?" they added, looking at Enye.

Their eyes were sparkling, and it looked as if they were about to go on a serious rant, but when they saw Mike's expression they stopped themselves.
Yeah, now was an urgent time.

And-- looking at Jian she looked kinda... ticked? Which was kinda unusual for Jian, and they didn't wanna mess with that, soo--

Their expression disappeared, and they looked at Mike, trying to contain their smile.
"Uhh-uhm, anyway, where're we going?"

Far down below, the tiny light could still faintly be seen, but Enye's form could no longer been seen inside the light.
"Her light will grow again. Perhaps one day other beings will be able to live there." Jian spoke softly, as if to herself more than anything.
"What are you trying to say?" Aelkai asked in confusion, patting Jian's shoulder as if attempting to comfort her.
"Enye is...completely a star now. She has to stay there. It was inevitable that she would fully transform into a star; that's how the spell works. She only made her transformation speed up by teleporting us up here." Jian turned away, staring at nothing.
"But...what will we tell Ia-" Aelkai began, but Jian interrupted.
"Ia! Ia isn't here! Ia isn't...isn't anywhere..." Jian exclaimed, and punched the catwalk uselessly.
"But she is here; I can feel her!" Aelkai insisted, nearly falling off of Jian's back.
