What's worse: abortion or murdering a chimpanzee?

Some Christian woman in another thread made the comparison (kind of). So I was just wondering what other people thought.

both, the chimp can prolly feel pain + intellegents, but the fetus has had no chance with life outside of the womb yet and no one can prove it can't feel pain. I don't see any comparison between the two though, both different species <_<?

But murdering the chimpanzee would be worse because h/she would feel pain.

well, you can't be 100% sure the fetus doesn't feel some type of pain + the fetus would be closer related to us than the chimp. any needless killing is not good,
I am not too sure how to answer it though :?

Although I'm the same species as the fetus, I feel I would actually be closer to the chimpanzee. It is aware of its surroundings and its own existence. It thinks and feels. If an abortion is carried out as soon as possible then I think murdering a chimpanzee is worse.

:? but thats the thing, I am talking in different mindset, The fetus would benifit us more if it survived because it is closer related, not similar thought patterns or how you can mentally relate

But it shouldn't be about what would benefit us more. Then we could say it's ok to shoot 10 stupid people than 1 intelligent person.

But they wouldn't benefit society as much as one intelligent person.
