The "T" in "Capt. James T. Kirk" stands for "Tiberius".

Its an ancient Roman name. Rome was built upon the river Tiber.

That's impossible.

The land area of the whole U.S.A. is only 3.8 million square miles. There cant be that much unihabited land, and if there were that much then it would be a lot more than just 47 percent of the total ( its almost ALL of the total US).

The United States was officially supposed to start using the metric system in the 70s. President Gerald Ford signed the Metric Conversion Act into law in 1975, but it wasn’t mandatory for the general public, so nobody bothered; the US Metric Board was abolished by President Ronald Reagan in 1982.
