Kiki beamed, watching Guinan help Karion learn how to walk.
They wanted to interact with Karion too, but they weren't sure of what to do.
"...You don't see a lot of children where I'm from." they smiled.

"In a way, you could call her my daughter, since I take care of her in a similar fashion." Oeuyia replied in a roundabout way. "She has...oh, what is that thing...erm...when someone falls asleep suddenly and at random? What do humans call it? Anyway, do not be alarmed if she suddenly falls asleep on you."
"La la. Ah." Karion then decided to investigate Kiki, and crawled over to them.

"Narcolepsy?" Kiki suggested.
"I, uh... used to have a friend with narcolepsy."

Lilli tilted their head. "Really? I thought that was called narcotics."

"Uhh, no." Gristle said.
"Narcotics are... something different entirely."

"Yes, that." Oeuyia grinned. Karion then began peering at Kiki and Lilli as if unsure what to make of them, and poked at each of them as if making sure they were solid.

Laura was sort of starting to miss Kalos, and was starting to feel slightly uncomfortable being around a little kid, but then again, she always felt like that around little kids, and for some reason, Calem being there, even though he was now looking at Laura instead of the wall, only added to the feeling, on top of Kairion and Oeuyia being stark naked. If anybody else were to look at her, they would see her looking a little sad, and Calem, who was too spaced out to notice even though he was looking directly at her. Laura sighed sadly, walking to where she was standing directly in front of Calem, causing him to blink several times and look down at her. "I just wanna get this mission over and done with so we can go back to Kalos." She mumbled, nuzzling her face into his slightly muscular chest. He looked down at her sadly, wrapping his arms around her and stroking her hair.

Kiki grinned slightly at Karion.
"Hehe, yup I'm solid."

They took their hat off and undid their ponytail, causing their hair to fall down to their shoulders.
They knelt down to Karion's level and were letting her comb her fingers through it.
"I also have very fabulous hair." they smiled.

Karion patted Kiki's hair gently, as if petting a kitten.
"When I first found her, she could barely move and could not even eat or drink by herself." Oeuyia commented.

"That... actually sounds way too familliar." Laura reminiced, wriggling free of Calem's grasp and walking over to the rest of the group.

"She just lay there on the ground, resigned to death. I managed to get her to share my energy willingly, so that kept her alive. I have read that human mothers do a similar thing." Oeuyia continued.

"...What happened?" Lilli asked.

"We are members of a crystalline race who have basically created a beautiful planet just by using magic...and yes, we all go around skyclad. However, when we die, we transform into crystal structures or statues, and apparently one day Karion wandered off and fell from a great height. She was nearly completely covered in crystal once I found her, but I managed to preserve her life by literally linking our lives together..." Oeuyia explained.

"That's COOL!" Lilli gushed, their eyes sparkling.
"I mean, obviously not the part about dying, but still! ...That's cool!!" they repeated.

Lilli looked at Jian and Aelkai.
"Are you of the same species as them?" they asked with excited puzzlement.

At this point, Laura's eyes were glistening, a sweet smile on her face with her hands clasped together under her chin. "Aww, that's so sweet!"

"Nahh, you're sweet!" Lilli said, and suddenly glomped Laura from behind.

What made her feel even more sad and homesick was that Lilli reminded her of Shauna, if she was more of a tomboy. Even though Calem was there, it wasn't quite the same, because normally all six of them would always be together, inseperably close. But now, she was terribly worried that since it completely slipped her mind to tell Shauna and the rest of the crew that her and Cal were boyfriend and girlfrend now, and on top of her being a shut in for the past few months, and now that they both dissapeared completly, she was scared that they would be mad at her, and that they would think the fame was finally getting to her head, after three years, even though her mom said she was so innocent and pure that she was incorruptible.

Suddenly, Lilli tackled Laura from behind, "Nah, your sweet!" She chirped. Again, a very Shauna-like thing to do. "Hey, I'm not that great!" She said sheepishly.

Mike turns to Sam. "Could you try to project some holographic clothing on those three?" Sam replies, "It would only show on one side of them and it would still be transparent, so it's not ideal." Mike replies, "Well, crap." he turns to them. "To be honest you probably would make a great distraction though."

~In the carrier~

Commander Nord's men strap Mason to a chair, put a device over his head, and inject him with a silver substance. Mason asks "What are you doing? What did you just inject me with? What is this thing?" trying to hide his fear. Nord replies "That substance is neural interface fluid, the same stuff used for brain interface gaming systems allowing electrical impulses going and from the brain to be controlled and read by a computer. This is no ordinary neural interface though, allow me to demonstrate." He hits a few buttons on a control panel and says something but it just sounded like gibberish. Mason tries to ask what's happening but the words just don't come to him, he opens his mouth but nothing comes out. He starts wondering what is going on, and then Commander Nord disables the device and Mason is suddenly able to think strait again. "I just temporarily disrupted communication to all speech related parts of the brain. You see, lying is a complex process involving many parts of the brain working together and this thing can manipulate that. I can fragment your mind as much as I see fit to get the truth out of you." He looks at a screen on the wall showing a map of Mason's brain activity. "And just so you know, I can see that you are very scared right now so there is no use hiding it."
