^ The Flintstones were essentially an animated ripoff of Jackie Gleason, and "the Honeymooners".
I guess they experimented with a Pilgrim version of the ripoff first before hitting upon the stone age version. Lol!

One early version of The Hobbit involved Bilbo mentioning going to China and another odd mention of policemen. Eventually Prf. Tolkien developed Middle-earth and revised that version significantly.

“I never said she stole my money” has 7 different meanings depending on which word is stressed when you speak it aloud.

there are unfortunate people, rare to be sure, who are totally amusical and arrhythmic. they cannot comprehend music or differentiate tones, and they have no sense of rhythm. to them, music is just noise. they cannot dance, either, nor comprehend the rhythmic flow of dancing.

In the sport of candlepin bowling, which is primarily played in the Canadian maritime provinces and the New England states in the US, NO player, as of this writing, has EVER recorded a perfect 300 score (to date, the highest recorded officially sanctioned score is 245).

"Gadsby" is a 1939 novel written by Ernest Vincent Wright. The plot revolves around the dying fictional city of Branton Hills, which is revitalized thanks to the efforts of protagonist John Gadsby and a youth group he organizes. The novel is written as a lipogram and does not include words that contain the letter "e". Though self-published and little-noticed in its time, the book is a favorite of fans of constrained writing and is a sought-after rarity among some book collectors. Later editions of the book have sometimes carried the alternative subtitle "50,000 Word Novel Without the Letter 'E'". In 1968, the novel entered the public domain in the United States due to failure to renew copyright in the 28th year after publication.

If you wanna own your own Tupolev 95 strategic bomber ( aka Tupolev Bear Bomber) just go on E-bay!

One is being offered for sale on E-Bay for three million dollars by a seller in the Ukraine.

If I were a tycoon I would snap it up! I think that are cool planes. :D

It has swept back wings like a jet, but has propellers. Not piston driven (like a car, or a spitfire) its a turboprop.

there is a device you can buy, called "dr. mulder's wishing machine" - more technically called a radionics box. you put your index fingers of each hand on metal plates while twiddling knobs until you start to feel "stickiness." then that will tell you what your general vitality is. this phenomenon also falls under the headings of "psionics" or "psychotronics." when you properly adjust this box, you make a solemn wish to it [and by extension the universe] for any reasonable thing you could want [not to kill ISIS or world peace, but instead to find the $300 to pay for the box someplace], and according to many testimonials, your wish comes true, eventually, within a nominal time.

The ‘lump’ you feel in your throat when you’re scared, nervous, or crying is a fight-or-flight response that causes your airway to expand in order to provide you with more oxygen.

San Francisco was originally a settlement called 'Yerba Buena,' meaning 'peppermint' in Spanish.

The Apollo 11 astronauts have a 'moon' on the Hollywood Walk of Fame instead of a star.

The scent of Wasabi is so strong that it can be used in fire alarms to wake up people who are deaf.

Andrew Jackson [between 1829-1833] was the first president to install a bathtub with running water in the white house. he boasted to visitors that they could take a cold bath, a warm bath or a shower bath.
