Terra, free from Kefka's grip, ran over to Locke. It didn't appear that he was able to move, so Terra cast Raise on him, and Locke became consious again.

"What happened? Where's Kefka?"

He noticed that everyone else was gone.

Locke and Terra had found themselves on the other side of Midgar. A monster had been watching the whole fight with Kekfa, and cast Teleport the moment Terra had landed on the ground.

"What's that?" said Locke as he saw a shadow pass.

Locke and Terra gave chase.

Cid brushed himself off. Kefka was standing before him with an expression of acute bemusement that was starting to turn into rage.

"That looked like an 'Exit'-type spell, but cast from afar." commented Cid. "I wonder why they took Terra and Locke instead of you, Kefka?"

"Arrrggghhh! HATE HATE HATE HATE HAAAAATE YOU!" screamed Kefka in a rage.

Cid hefted his spear, hoping that Squall and Selphie would get ready to help. "Now, now, now, can't you use words of more than one syllable, like the rest of us?"

Locke saw a monster ahead of him, so he got Terra to cast Float on him so he could jump far enough to strike the monster. But the monster obviously knew he was coming as Locke was striken by the monster.

(Cue an amalgamation of FFVI and FFVII battle music)

Locke Attacks, monster takes 255 damage
Monster attacks, Locke takes 500 damage
Locke Mugs monster, does 255 damage and steals a Hi-Potion
Terra casts Thundaga, monster takes 886 damage.
Monster casts Teleport

(battle music ends)

"Darn, he got away" said Locke.

"Terra, do you think you could teleport us back to Kefka?"

"I don't know, last time I did, we ended up on Cid's ship."

"Surely you can't try again?" said Locke.

A few seconds later Locke and Terra vanished.

When they woke up, the area they were in didn't look like Midgar. In fact it was very barren.

(Kefka could use attacks like Hearltless Angel which puts everyone on the opposing team to one HP each. I can't quite remember all his attacks but he has a wide range of magic having been infused with magicite)

"Great," said Locke, "You really need to work on your teleporting."

He became annoyed that they were stranded in the middle of a desert. Then he recognised the desert. A castle stood in the middle of the desert. Locke immidiately recognised it.

However the desert around it had some familiar traces but seemed to be half desert and half something else.

"Let's head to that castle" said Locke.

Squall didn't recognise the magic. So he cast it at Kefka, hoping for the best.

Huge flashes of light and dark spread out across the area, and Kefka fell.

"My own magic...not fair....how did you know Goner?" he said weakly.

"And I've still got some left!" Squall said triumphantly.

"Niiiice." said Selphie. "See what else you can draw."

Squall drew again, this time a different magic.

Unfortunately, Locke and Terra arrived at Figaro Castle just as it was leaving.

"Well that's bad luck." said Locke.

"Now what?" Terra asked.

"Let's just walk around and battle," said Locke.

Zell paced some more.

Seifer meanwhile, was thinking.

'How powerful is this Kefka fella really?' he thought.

He slipped out while Quistis was leturing on battle manouvers with the students.

Cid threw a bundle of dynamite sticks at Kefka, smashing the clown to the ground again. He'd seen the eye-watering blast of Goner, and was frankly a little terrified of it. But he was more worried about Locke and Terra. What had happened to them?
