Is Super Mystery Dungeon as good as Explorers of Sky? It's now a toss up between SMD or Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Or just buy Clamp manga instead!

I like it a lot, but I obviously can't know if you will like how it differs from the previous games. One of the first changes I noticed was the partner's personality. It has usually been a timid Pokemon, but in SMD it's an adventurous and a bit mischievous Pokemon. The belly system is back, so you have to eat apples in the dungeons to keep from losing HP.
You no longer recruit Pokemon like you did in the old games. Instead you connect with Pokemon you can add them to the team when you go on an adventure. . I kinda liked visiting them where they lived in the old games, but...

And we now have Looplets, which is a held item where one can insert emeras that you find in the dungeons. The emeras grant you some powers, which depends on the emera, but the power the emeras give are only for that particular mission.

You can read about all the new and returning features here http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/ ... n#Features
I wouldn’t recommend scrolling up though, as the plot is talked about which may ruin the game for you. I at least like to find out as I go along with it.

Huh, that's a good question. The Turtwig line can't even learn Rain Dance. Maybe they use one of the several watering cans that have been available in the games (SquirtBottle, Wailmer Pail, Sprayduck or Sprinklotad). Not sure how it would get those though, nor how they'd use it. Maybe they just make sure to walk in the rain.

That reminds me of another thing. All Pokemon can hold items, regardless of whether or not they have limbs. If they're holding something in their paws or mouth, how come the items aren't affected when they use moves like punch and bite?

it may be morbid, but i imagine they have a system that filters some of their body fluids into a liquid the trees and grasses can use. symbiont.

^As Honest Trailers put it, 'Meet Red, a young ten year old boy who never sleeps, eats, or talks...and tries to single-handedly take down the Mafia.'

My friend often jokes that sooner or later Oak will be wandering around asking random people if they are a boy or a girl and asking them what his grandson's name is.

That could be a villain of a parody game; the senile professor who bothers people and push a starter on them. His team of aides will be part of it.
