I'm in my 20s. If I disclose my real name and age, it's easy to find where I live especially when I live in a very small country, which's why I've written fake age, name online.

oh shaddap, youse kidz! I'll be in my 40s soon enough...
Actually I'm still 38, but will turn 39 later this year. For some reason, despite having checked that I got the month and day right, it insists that I am already 39. Let's not make it worse that it is... I still have some months left....
That said, I do remember how much I dreaded turning 20. And 30. By now, I have realized that age is mostly a number and that I don't change over night due to it, so I'm more relaxed about it now.

Yes, abandoned places are very exciting, I think. If there were any nearby, it would have been tempting to check it out.

I got my first Harvest Moon game today: Tale of Two Towns! I've already decided which bachelor my character will marry: Cam the quiet kitten-lover. I named my character Aniko, which is kind of clever since I joined Konohana, and Aniko is also an alternate version of my real name.

thank you for the insight, kind turtle woman.
if i may ask something...i hear people say all the time that time seems to go faster as you age, is that true for you? if so where would you say the "middle of your life" is? not calendarwise, but in experience...

Know any abandoned places, Skilpadde.
Whoops, that second statement should have a ? at the end of it.
The only place I know of here in Norway is Pyramiden on Svalbard. It's an abandoned Russian mining settlement. Unfortunately it's a long way from where I live. I'm sure there are other abandoned buildings here, I just don't know about them.
There is a closed subway station in Oslo called Valkyrien stasjon that was closed in 1985, but I can't think of any safe way to access it. Walking into the subway along the tracks is out of the question!
The most interesting abandoned places IMO are Pripyat (the abandoned city near Chernobyl) in Ukraine and that abandoned island in Japan (don't recall its name).

So you went for ToTT then? Wow, I didn’t know it was your first HM game. I hope you’ll like it. Which village did you choose? My first was Konohana (because I thought it would be easier to start with crops), then Bluebell. I couldn’t find my second game, but I named my first character Jica.
The interesting bachelorettes for my boys are Reina and Georgia. Nori is also cute, but the aloof and relatable Reina and the animal (horse) loving Georgia wins. The interesting bachelors for my girls are Ash and Cam. I really like how Kana is into animals and has a pet shop, but I’m not a fan of long hair. Hiro is kinda cute, but in competition with good looking guys who like flowers (Cam) or animals (Ash), he loses. It also doesn’t hurt Ash’s cause that he is so fond of his little sister. Dirk is handsome, but too hard to get hold of in between chores.
I hope you'll post updates

Thank you for the kind words, Kip : )
Yes, it is most certainly true for me. It started when I was somewhere between 23 and 25. I would be shocked to find that it’s Christmas when summer hadn’t even started (oh wait, that was over months ago), and while it feels like it was only yesterday I was 11 and made specific jokes, it’s a shock to find that (insert years at the time) has passed. It doesn’t feel like so many years have passed since this or that event in my life (or in the news for that matter). The days used to last forever when I was a child, but now they go by so much faster. The years are where I feel it most though. They used to be so long I couldn’t truly comprehend it, but now they fly by at hypersonic speed.
That was something I wasn’t able to grasp when I was younger than 22-23. It is my experience that it gets worse as more years pass.
My grandfather would always say that life was short. He died when I was 24 and at the time I still didn’t understand that, but now I do. Life is short. It’s a perspective thing that comes with age. It’s not so different from how daycare children think teenagers are old.
I’m not sure what you mean by where the middle of my life is. I have no way of knowing how long I will live. I’m sorry, I don’t understand what you’re asking. Can you please rephrase?
I don’t know if this is what you mean, but in 2012-2013 I had something akin to a midlife crisis (what have I accomplished? Where did the years go? Why does my family line have to end with me?) It was horrible, all those doubts and dark thoughts. I hope I never have to face those personal demons again. Despite the differences between our circumstances, I really related (still do) to this scene in Two and half men.
There isn’t enough time at all.

^^I choose Konohana. I love all the cherry blossoms! I even named my farm Sakura Farm [Cherry Blossom Farm]. I named my horse Epona. I haven't got a kitten yet, but I've been exploring the mountain and foraging. Something odd seemed to happen, though. When I tried to ship things, I checked the next day and the stuff was gone, but I still had 0 gold.
