I'm being lazy right now....

My computer is fast.
It's running:
Messenger program
half a dozen documents open
file browser open
did have media player running
several dozen tabs open in web browser
network monitoring software running
sysguard program running (tells memory and processor usage)
there should be a firewall running somewhere too...I hope

right now I'm using less than 1.3GB of memory out of 4GB

If you computer is too slow, buy a lot of memory. I helped on mine.

If it's at least a year old, and less than five years, then it probably uses DDR RAM. It's a cheap upgrade for a computer, if you don't have a lot of memory in it already.
