Well no, it's not the purpose of language to manipulate. (Not necessarily, at least.) Language itself has no proclaimed goal. I was referring to organizational structures that exercise power over human individuals (and attract people who enjoy exercising such power). It would make me very happy if such collective entities did not exist. This is a mere fantasy of course, given the circumstance that most people can't think of themselves outside of social contexts; collectivism is all they know.
Given a choice solely between capitalism and socialism, I'd vote against whichever philosophy of the two happened to cause the most exercisings of power over individuals, so right now I'd be a "socialist", then.
