The best anime I've seen is Dragon Ball GT.

21, male, love anime.

I am mostly into crazy off-the-wall comedy anime such as Azumanga Daioh, Chobits, Haruhi, Midori Days, 7 of Seven.

I can take it or leave it.

Anime is my life. It's what makes me the happiest, and sparks my imagination. I've even created an entire imaginary world based around the characters I love. My mom says I'll probably be an anime fan for the rest of my life. I agree with her; I can't imagine living my life without it.

Cartoons?: Yes, though my enjoyment of cartoons doesn't even remotely compare to my love for anime. I like The Brak Show, The Mr. Man Show and all three of the Balto movies.

Best Anime: Hellsing, hands down. It's just plain awesome. I love it in all its sick and twisted glory: from the manga to the TV series to the Ultimate series.

Other honorable mentions (my other favorites) are Trinity Blood and Bleach.

I should probably also mention that I adore the Ace Attorney (aka Phoenix Wright/Apollo Justice) games due to the fact that the characters are anime-styled and the storylines play out just like an anime would.

god, you can't say that you hate or love anime... you could as well ask if you hate or love movies... it all depends on the story.

i hate typical big manga eyes and cartoons, but i love more anime than liveaction movies. just more of them have cool stories. and i like the ret*d jokes in most of them XD (though i prefer serious stories... but comedies are cool as well, just not so interesting - often forget about them quickly.)

and anime has nothing to do with cartoons for me. except its animation...
cartoons = for kids.
animation = kind or art? or just for adults.
anime = both, actually everything thats possible. XD

I'm 26, male. There's a few non-anime animated shows I like a lot: Futurama, Home Movies, Metalocalypse, (older) Simpsons. I loathe Family Guy, and I like Southpark in theory but I often find it grating to watch.

As far as anime, I don't have an interest. But I don't dislike it, either. I've really been on the periphery of it.. I haven't seen the classics, but I can name them. Ghost in the Shell, Akira. Maybe I should DL them this weekend? Some of my friends used to be obsessed with Naruto, which I didn't enjoy (but maybe that's because I started watching it in the middle.) I've seen a few episodes of Ranma 1/2, which was a decent enough comedy.

So there you have it.. </ramble>

I like a lot of Anime movies but I've never gotten into the TV shows because I don't think I could commit to watching all the episodes (I'm a bit OCD).

Favourite Anime: Kiki's Delivery Service.

Like Cartoon movies - Walt Disney etc, not so keen on the Simpsons, watchable but a bit sad.

Like South Park.

Like other cartoons (in small doses) mainly for nostalgia reasons; flintstones, jetsons, scooby-doo

I enjoy the line (the way of drawing) I haven't ever really watched any though, except for Love Hina (I had to see what it was about after I heard that it had outsold Harry Potter) oh and Pokemón back before they messed it up.

Overall I love cartoons and comics, although they need to have a good story or good humor, art alone only goes so far.

I think it's one of the greatest forms of art, explaining the mysteries of "What is Human?" in ways nothing else could. Couldn't live without it.

Mostly, I don't care for anime because I don't look for art in cartoons. I look for entertainment. If a cartoon takes itself too seriously, I tend to either get bored or start mocking it.
That said, I don't see anything wrong with the style, and occasionally I find one that I like (i.e., THe Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi)... I'm just not a big fan of the genre.
