Understood. So, what for work then?

BTW it is now above freezing outside today (41 Fahrenheit right now).

I have no idea. For the meantime I'm thinking biotechnology, which is similar to the link you posted - lab work and such.

I don't know if I'll continue with something in a biological field, I was hoping to figure out what I want to do while doing it. If it works, I'll have at least some qualification and hopefully get a job in that area.

Lab work would be kinda neat. Searching collegeboard.com I've found that there are both 2 and 4 year degrees in biotechnology. If 4 years would overwhelm, go with 2.

One of the bad things about studying on your own is the minimum amount of lab experience. It would be nice if there were public facilities for doing lab work while still learning the material on your own. Public schools have labs, but they're for attendees.

I have a bird who is asleep on my shoulder.

Yeah, I'm thinking about undergoing the shorter one, except here it's even shorter: one year and a half. That's excellent.

Why did you decide to homeschool? Did something happen at school?

I just couldn't take the stress. Parents thought that was weird, so they put me in a mental hospital for a couple of weeks. Mental hospital was crappy so my parents took me out of that too.

I had been homeschooled all my life previously, so that was what I was used to. After my dad died I became lazy with my schoolwork so my parents put me in public school for 2 months before I left. Since I never wanted to go back there again I worked as hard as I could on my schoolwork after that and have since gotten my GED.

I'm sorry to hear that. :(

At least you guys in the US have that option, school attendance is mandatory here if you want to get into college. Luckily I'm past that now.
