TheAP: I'm sorry for having such a strong reaction about The Handmaid's Tale. That book honestly traumatized me, and the only reason why I brought it up in the first place was to spare everyone else from reading it by accident.

That's okay. I know those kinds of subjects aren't for everyone.

If Scandinavia could somehow be superimposed on the British Isles, Finland would be Scotland and Norway would be Ireland. Watch the following and note what (s)he says about Norwegians. Image

Huh, I always like to have my own physical copy of things I really enjoy.

Sadly, the heat has come to Norway now. We had a good run with April being colder than normal. but now we're out of luck. The sun is shining, it's too hot, and it will get hotter. The birch is full of pollen, and now I only await more flies. I've already seen the first one. I hate this time of year. :x

Funnily enough, we've had a warmer than average March/April here, like an extended summer. It's only now starting to get colder. I don't mind summer here, but I do prefer winter.

^ Strangely, quite often when other parts of the world have seen the hottest (insert time of year) in decades, it has often been normal or colder than usual here.

Relax and surströmming in the same sentence.
Does. Not. Compute.
Meh, I'll have some rakfisk or smalahove instead. Have to eat patriotically you know. Anyone else want some? :P

good luck trying to get it shipped. apparently, the stench can take down planes.

i actually went to our world market here looking for the stuff back when i got the vegemite. only thing was some latvian canned fish crap.

murihiku, i think you may get similar results by just snatching a few fish from a stream nearby (if you have any) and letting them fester in your basement for the better part of a decade.

Symphonies? Are you referring to classical music symphonies such as Beethoven or some other kind of symphony?

I hear you, Kip. It's even worse where you live though, not helped the least by drought. :( Just curious, how do you define cool temperatures, Kip?
