I like listening to the Pokemon Pearl soundtrack. How can nostalgia be so overwhelming?

Yeah, overwhelming nostalgia feels absolutely wonderful. I love seeing old games, books, toys and anything else I have good memories of, always have. Even as a kid I was nostalgic, and it wasn't like I had many years to be nostalgic about, but that didn't stop me.
I can't read a Pokemon manga or play the Pokemon a-z game without feeling an itch to play Pokemon.

^I'm the same. Even just reading Diamond and Pearl Adventure makes me want to play Pearl again. If you lived in Sinnoh, where would you like?

If I could live in Sinnoh...

Well, I prefer larger cities, so the villages wouldn’t hold much interest as far as residence is concerned. Oreburgh would be too polluted because of its mine, and Snowpoint City is out because I’m not that fond of snow.
Solaceon Town is dreadfully small and apparently a farming community, but the pros are that it’s close to the ruins and it has the Pokémon Daycare. I wouldn’t mind working in a daycare for Pokémon.
Floaroma is lovely but way too small. I do like its proximity to the Valley Windworks though it would be better if the windmills were the good old fashion type.

Pastoria Town isn’t big, but its layout makes it seem like it would be possible to live in a bit of private spot, which is a definite plus.
Veilstone City is okay, but has so many buildings belonging to Galactic, and as much as I like it being carved out of a mountain, it’s pretty grey… As is Jubilife, although it has nice fountains.
I like that Canaclave City is a harbor city and even is divided in two by the canal. Cons are that the city looks a bit bare, and there is nothing green there (not counting the trees outside of the city).
Eterna City is pretty with its little lake, some greenery, and even its own Pokémon statue…

Sunyshore City is nice looking and I have always found lighthouses nice. Maybe I could be the lighthouse watcher there?
Hearthome City both looks great and is the biggest city in Sinnoh and it’s a place where Pokémon can walk outside their Pokeballs in the lovely Amity Square.
Okay, Sunyshore and Eterna are appealing, but I think I will go with Hearthome City.

Your turn, Skitty. If you were to live in Johto, where would you live?

Hmm...Cherrygrove City sounds appealing. Either that or Azalea Town.

Your turn! :)

In Johto? Goldenrod City! Not only is it a sizable city, but I also like the radio tower, the train station and its easy access to Kanto, the Game Corner (which in HGSS can be used without losing money), and it proximity to the Daycare, which is a profession I could see myself doing if I was in the Pokemon world.

Honorable mentions: Olivine City with its charming lighthouse and Ecruteak with its history and Towers are two other possibilities if I wanted to move elsewhere for some reason.

Okay, that was Johto and Sinnoh. I hope you’re up to the remaining 4 regions as well :D (I can’t really count Alola yet since we know nothing about it).

In Kanto I would probably prefer to live in Celadon City with its size and huge department store. Lol I even know which house I would live in if I could! The one to the left of the Game Corner, where you have to use Surf to get to the house. That means I would have to have a water Pokemon and somehow I can live very well with that requirement.

Honorable mentions: Cerulean and Vermilion both have nice locations.
Fuchsia City; just because Safari Zone. I could be a Warden. Of course, in the later games it’s closed…

One place I would not want to live is Cinnabar! We saw clearly in HGSS how dangerous that volcano is.

In Hoenn (ORAS) I would like to live in New Mauville. The idea of it all being in one building is a very interesting one. In RSE I would have picked Rustboro (I like how it looks) or Slateport (I do have a thing for coastal towns). Sootopolis is another very good candidate. It’s lovely and looks so much like dreamy Greek islands. Not sure how I feel about having to dive into my city though

How about you?

Oh and if anyone else here wants to post their fave location in Pokemon, they are very welcome! :)

whatever

Kalos

for the first time i'm not going with the biggest (Lumiose) because I get lost there lol

Coumarine City has train and harbor, a plus

Couriway Town is beautiful

Cyllage City is a nice city, the second largest in Kalos and has a nice coast

Unova

Virbank City. Like the canals

Aspertia City is nice but too small

Undella might be a nice for vacation,

Opelucid City is nice and has two possibilities. I like that

I really like planes so Mistralton is a possibility

Driftveil City is too small but will stop by to pick up zorua lol

Nimbasa City way too small but would visit the amusement park

Striaton City has a very nice garden

ultimately though: Castelia city or Black City!

I have seen a lot of YouTubers talking about what gym they'd have if they could. I have some ideas too but I CBB to verbalize them

According to what I’ve seen on YouTube apparently some people thought there were too many legendaries available in ORAS. I have never understood this qualm some people have with that. No,there aren't too many. Just don't catch them if you don't like them and let the rest of us enjoy finally getting so many in one game. Release them if they're such a nuisance.

It's too hot to do anything but be miserable and lethargic. I can't wait for the heat to be over :( :x

i saw my cousin keeping the pokemon 2000 movie (VHS) on his shelf, on the bottom collecting lots of grime and dust.

i can believe them if they say they've never seen half of their movie collection.

my personal movie collection is modest in comparison, but i've shown it love.

We have acquired quite a few DVDs over the years, and they have all been watched, some more repetitively than others.
The thought of an unwatched Pokemon movie collecting dust is saddening. My Pokemon movies don't get that chance lol.

slightly better, yes. It still shouldn't collect dust though. Unless it's a hobby the VHS has, then I suppose we have to allow it :chin:

Ah, gotta love long tangents about Pokemon

Anyway, enjoy your watching! I wonder if those two movies I haven't seen are there....
