^I meant that they're in Japanese with English subtitles. :)

Among all songs in the internet, this one makes least sense. Honest.

I wouldn't know, Krabo, I don't speak Finnish :P What do the lyrics say?
edit: anyway I doubt it makes less sense than this one:

^ Kyle, it is a Finnish folk song called Ieva's polka (capital I, not lower case l.) The video shows phonetic guide for English speaking audience. Skilpadde, most of the words after a short intro mean nothing. They are gibberish.

Ah, thanks for explaining, now I will have to agree that it is one of the songs that make the least sense. The same goes for What does the fox say though.

In elementary school we sang this song:

Iri knappoli, rikka, makka, dokka, vetta
Iri knappoli, rikka makka don
- Fon fon fon
Så setter makka, dokka, vetta
I ri, knappoli, rikka makka don
- Fon.

 as if Finnish needs tongue twisters to be tongue twisty... :P

This one made me wonder:
"Mamma, pakka pappa kapsäkk! (Finland proper dialect)
Grandma, pack grandpa's suitcase"

does mamma and pappa mean grandparents in Finnish, or was it translated wrong? In a lot of languages, that would be mom and dad.

^I'm all excited now! Apparently you can even pick up Pokemon in Sun and Moon! I'm also excited for the new Legend of Zelda game, but I don't have a Wii U, so I can't play it.

I am so looking forward to 'going' to Alola! Now we know the starters, the two legendaries, the dog and these 3 :D

I don't have a Wii U either. I wonder what the next console will be like, Nintendo NX....

Right you are. Our funny language has mamma for grandmother and pappa for grandfather. I don't know why it is that way.

Here's the Japanese way: Papa and Mama are used by children, Oka-san/Oka-chan and To-san/To-chan are used by older children, Haha and Chichi [sometimes with ue attached as an extra form of respect] are also used, and Oji-san/Oji-chan and Oba-san/Oba-chan are used for grandparents or as a respectful term for old people.

According to Google Translate, the Finnish names for mom and dad are Äiti and isä, while "bestemor" apparently is isoäiti and "bestefar" isoisä. yet for some reason 'bestemor og bestefar' was translated as mummo ja vaari.
 Go figure!
