(There are sites where you aren't allowed even to sign your posts, where you can't have any avatar at all, and where you cannot embed images, only link to them. Aaaand then there are other sites where there is such a profusion of images, text sizes, fonts, animations and the like, all flashing, blinking, slithering & bouncing like they're struggling to get off the screen, so that the page is all-but-unreadable. WP is a pleasant compromise, for mine.
