Cathylynn, poster number #15, you should have posted a new 'host' word here. :D

Never mind! I think (= I hope :? ) that we can extend the present sequence to 30 words.

Here goes......

19. Myriad

(So, whoever comes up with word #30 also comes up with a new starting word in the next post, and specifies how many smaller words we should find?)

^That's spot on, Murihiku, it also probably helps if the target is a multiple of 15, and just a general reminder that the host word is: THERMODYNAMICS

That's fine, Skil----proper nouns ARE permitted.

That's exactly right!

Yeah, you were the originator of the word. Changing the amount every time, might get confusing, though----but, maybe not.....

.....and, the words posted, so far, are:

Dither, Dominate, Dynamite, Hermits, Manic, Marine, Mastic, Mirth, Mitochondrion, Moans, Myriad, Nomad, Ordinate, Scammer, Scared, Shade, Sycamore, Thread, Thermos

I only changed it because the word didn't terminate as per the rule, ie with poster number 15 giving a new word. Maybe a slightly rigid interpretation..... :)
