non clonal (single) organism, a bristlecone pine that grew in eastern nevada.
it perished in 1964 when it was cut down by someone studying the climate dynamics of the little ice age using dendrochroology techniques. apparently a simple coring was not enough.
it was 4862 years old. at least. possibly over 5000.

Apparently it's the 6th mass extinction and we're the reason. Wild life has been halved and the number of people doubled in 40 years. And no one dares say the obvious. We need population control. A limited number of kids per person.
I'm completely against killing something to study it.
