Who knows if it evolves at all. Regardless, it looks really cool and I like the dual typing they chose for it. I wonder what new moves we'll be seeing....

Hey, Skilpadde.

Don't suppose you've been playing any Pokemon Go, have you? My sister and nephew are both into it. It's funny, my sister and I went on a walk a few days ago and the whole time she had her phone out looking for Pokemon.

No, I'm not playing Pokemon Go. I was eager about it when I first heard of it, but when I found out that you have to move about and go in search of Pokemon IRL, going around, following directions, seeking out real life places and interacting with real people, I lost all interest in it.

I'm have a very strong preference for sitting still when playing, and also for playing alone. It even annoys me that they seem to have made trainers more part of the battles in Pokemon Sun and Moon. There have been videos where they battle and you see the trainer behind the Pokemon, and apparently they even wave eagerly in some scenes. I haven't actually seen the latter, just heard about it. That's more than bad enough for me.

From what I see around me, people were glued to their phones long before Pokemon Go was released. The first thing so many do when they go out, is take up their phone and watch it while walking. I can't forget the family I saw leaving for their daily tasks one morning a while ago: The two adults and the oldest kid (elementary school age) were lost to their phones, only the little one in the pram didn't have a screen in front of their face. It's just... wow. And they are far from the only ones. My phone on the other hand is severely underused
But I should shut up, as I have walked reading a book before, so...

New Pokemon revealed!



I definitely want a Wimpod on my team. Finally a Pokemon that looks like a horseshoe crab!

Alola forms! (Winter Vulpix (a well known novelty Pokémon from GPX Plus) confirmed!)
Z-moves! (I assume mega evolution is out in Gen 7)
Possibly no more HM and no more HM slaves and lost move slot if this holds true (too bad about Surf though, it’s one of my favorite water moves as it’s powerful and has a high accuracy).
Minior! A Flying/ Rock type!
Island Challenges instead of Gyms?? Is Alola Orange Islands after all?!
Is Rockruff a werewolf or wolf? It howls when the sun goes down and leave to evolve and returns in its new form. That would have been cool... Speaking of Rockruff, I have not yet gotten used to it being rock type. Come on, it's a cuddly puppy!

Yuck, so not looking forward to tomorrow. They've been so wonderful, these last 5 and a half weeks! When he's not around to spill everywhere and be generally grumpy, it's much nicer here. The atmosphere without him is so much better, and it's so relaxing to not have the TV on all day, because you know heaven forbid it isn't on at all times he's awake, including when the person who puts it on is busy on his laptop or goes out on the veranda.

i just wanna go back to July 14th and have these wonderful weeks with just the two of us all over again, and not have to wait for next summer. We are so much more on the same wavelength and generally have a good time. When he's home it's like he's oozing bad mood around him. I don't want tomorrow to come... May today last forever!

Oh, new Pokemon! Thank you for posting those, Skitty! I never would have guessed that the blue crab was a Fighting Pokemon! The ghost sand castle is awesome, and Ground/Ghost is such a rare typing. And they're all so cute!
Wishiwashi's schooling is really great looking (and makes perfect sense for a water Pokemon).
I gotta admit that when I saw Pyukumuku I thought it was the evolved form of a caterpillar, like Cascoon and Silcoon. That must be a sea cucumber?
The fungus is nice too, and the donkey is adorable!

I wonder what Team Skull will be about, I'n guessing pirates, that makes sense. I wouldn't be surprised if these were more like Team Rocket, as in more about being a criminal gang than ideologically based megalomaniacs like the teams in Hoenn, Kalos, Sinnoh and Unova.

Have I mentioned that I'm really looking forward to this game??

^^^I like the stuffy red panda bear cute thing best. I hope they'll do another Mystery Dungeon game, too. I can't decide which starter to pick. Litten seems the obvious choice, but Rowlett reminds me of the Eleventh Doctor, and Popollio is fun.

I would be surprised if they don't do any more MD games ever again, but considering that the latest one was released last year in the US and early this year in Europe, it will probably be a while.

Something that is just around the corner though: Pokemon Sun and Moon! Really looking forward to them. I dread encountering z moves though. I wonder if those videos showing flying and riding on Pokemon means that there will be no or at least less HMs? It would be awesome to be able to avoid wasting move slots on them. Here's to hoping.
