yes, selfie is a word now, at least Google Chrome doesn't put a red squiggly line under it when I wrote in here. I don't get it either. Maybe they suffer from prosopagnosia and need to remind themselves (and everyone else) of what they look like?

I have prosopagnosia, or face blindness, but it only applies to unfamiliar faces.

I'm not sure if I actually have it, but I'm not good at recognizing faces. If someone changes their look, I'll either not see it or not recognize them. I'm always the one who don't recognize actors from movie to movie or from a series to a movie or vice versa.

When I first watched the Three Stooges, I couldn't tell the difference between Moe and Shemp. In fact, Shemp almost didn't become a Stooge due to his similar appearance to Moe. Now they look like two different people to me.

I'm not too familiar with them, I only know what type of humor they're known for. When I was new to "Friends" I couldn't tell Rachel from Phoebe, and I got the guys mixed up too (especially Joey and Chandler). It took me a while to tell them apart, but when I finally did, I no longer mixed them up.
I have the same problem IRL as well. It usually took me a month or so (longer in first grade) to tell all my classmates apart (up to 28 kids, depending on the class). Some were easier than others, but there were always some it took me a long time to tell apart when I saw then alone.
I also have a hard time recognizing my neighbors, especially when I see them anywhere but in the stairwell (and I have the same problem with anyone I only see at one specific place). I'm not close to any of them, which contributes to it.

are you serious. and here i was thinking my chrome had the vocabulary of a 6th grader, pitting red squiggly things under too many of the words i type. maybe i do type weirdly. do i?

i think i'm pretty good at recognizing faces. certain ones over others, but actors too.

i'm only familiar with the stooges from "swinging the alphabet", my favorite version being the one from the forbidden zone.
