Avatar above... some strange form of life, obviously dropped there from an airplane passing by, landed on a frozen lake. The unspecified blotch to the left is this creature's lunch kit which was thrown out with him/her/it. The creature is trying to communicate with the civilized world, fostering the false belief that standing on his/her/its head is a good thing.

This is the moomin's strange way of relaxing, allowing the blood to flow to its head as she soaks up the sun's warm rays to tan her cold feet.
