Sorry to hear that too, RT. Can relate a bit at present.. my back hurts like hell today.. but hey..

@ Tallyman.. Yeah, felt really out of sync too and it's totally mea culpa again. Those 'insights' tend to hurt the most. (and it's almost always mea culpa, I think)

Rotweillers can be cool but I 'fancy' a German Sherpard or a ½ longhaired German pointer dog (female). The latter is my absolute favourite though.

^ That's a good looking b***h 8O  I've got a black labrador and Westie. Used to have a German Shepherd - he was a wonderful dog - we used to walk for miles and miles and miles - he was surprisingly soft and friendly.

Well, no sexual reference here whatsoever of course but I said female/b***h cos I just think they're more hygienic or something and they tend to be easier to train.. it will be a chain-less dog in the end. I hate to be leashed and don't do to another what you wish not to be done yourself. Worked fine before.

My shepherd used to be good off-lead. Unlike the present two miscreants - the Westie likes to chase moving car tires! 8O The black labrador chases anything he thinks he can eat or be "passionate" with
I guess it is largely down to how well trained they are (or not  )

Yes, good training when still young pays off.. um, to be consequent is the word here, I think. And explaining stuff by talking to them too, taking them seriously  (but no kid ya).

Me and dogs go together well.. although little ones tend to be a bit intimidated by me sometimes. Prefer dogs above the knee really, taller than, I mean.

I prefer larger dogs too. Their faces are more expressive. I was brought up with dogs and can easily read them and communicate with words, tones, facial gestures etc. I like to use dog body language sometimes for fun too (provided nobody is around to see me or they'd think I was mad). I also do a mean cat impression which sends them wild!

^ More a case of hear than see. I can do a 'meow' realistic enough to make the dogs go mad and want to be desperately let outside to chase off the cat they just heard!

You aught to hear my cow impression! 8O
