At least the Beast of Gevauden had the good sense to focus his(?) attention on French peasants and farm animals, and not over-ripe shark meat.

Proves that the French, even their animals, have discerning palates!

Let me remind you that the French invented the 10-day week so that more and more tax money could be extorted from the poor peasants' back bones.

AND the deliberate disregard of the French government to the depredations of the B of G caused much political upheaval when the seriousness and length of the situation became widely known.
