And, doordoctor, I would camp out at Stonehenge, if it were allowed. When young, I actually walked around inside it (and I guess, touched the stones). That was some while before they stopped allowing people anywhere near (in 1985, I gather). I've driven past it a lot. It's just over 200 yards off the main road (I just measured it with Google Earth!).

cool!! its a shame now that they try to preserve it, they wont allow anyone inside, i heard on a show its secured or fenced in (not sure 100%)

Low fence... but from what I can see on GEarth, the viewing path gets to 10 yards of the main ring.

Also, I gather they are now easy about the solstices and let people (pagans) in then. I know they went though a phase of trying to stop them, but I don't think they ever managed that. You can hardly shoot them, just because they're druids. Stonehenge
