It's so difficult to draw a line really because there are so many "modern / alternate" spellings of proper names that are used as names, and also, the language is constantly evolving, which is why new Scrabble lists are published from time to rime with words such as "ger" and "zol".

Right you are. That's why it wouldn't work. Same thing with names of cities and countries. So many languages and variations.

We don't really need it, but it is not as bad as predictive script on a cell phone. Nothing annoys me more than the phone thinking it can anticipate what I want to write, as it is way out with it's "guesses"!
