The Cadillac is a slightly better looking car, though I've no idea what either of them would be like to drive.

Napoleon Bonaparte or Julius Caesar?

think isolation from road surfaces, for the most part, and a hushed calm, unflappable handling over the wavy lumpy bumpy curvy stuff. the older ones from the 90s had some boat-like wave action on the wavy stuff.

flip of the coin for the latter.

I'm not sure that any car could deliver much isolation from the surfaces of many of our roads, including main roads.

Bonaparte. Caesar was a bit of a psycho, declared war on his own country.

Drive a tractor or a combine harvester?

the old 80s and 90s caddies had the longest suspension travel and hydraulic dampers, thick viscuoelastic suspension bushings, viscuoelastic isolated subframes on the later models. the roads in my little town are like moon craters, and these cadillacs could float over those roads with a gentle wave-like motion. the only thing better, and just marginally better, would be a mercedes 560 or S class with the citroen air suspension, or a citroen ID/DS/SM.

tractor is sportier

combine harvester
or
big earth mover

The former sounds probably more interesting, though I don't really know what it involves. It's unlikely to involve ham, I suppose.

Satellite TV or Cable TV?

Don't watch TV any more, just occasional news broadcast or documentary on the internet. My satellite service deteriorated over a period of six or seven years until it became unusable, so I think I'd go for cable if I had to have one or the other.

Maxell or TDK? (for dvd disks, or anything you like).

Think I'd go for the compactness and convenience of cassette. Not convinced they're much more reliable or technically better though.

Jack Nicklaus or Tom Watson?

Watson. I wasn't too keen on him when he was winning everything in the late 70s and early 80s, but warmed to him when he almost won the British Open a few years ago aged around 60. He had a putt to take the title on the final green, but couldn't hold it together and took three.

if a branch weren't in the next county over an hour away, i'd be more willing to visit it. if i were better tech-wise, i'd be more willing to do internet banking but all those daggone infernal passwords and other authenticators are just too much for me.

I check my balance and pay some bills online by direct transfer. Still occasionally visit a branch, but they're closing down all over the place.

The Drifters or The Stylistics?
