that is an album by frank zappa.
 Yep, I was wondering if anyone would spot it.

was that the reason that you posted it? as an experiment? what would have you done if no one had spotted it? would have you revealed it later ?

i guess i had the presumption that the suggestions of band names in this thread are supposed to be original phrases thought up by the poster.

but on the other hand, the the name "burnt weeny sandwich" is only an album name and not a band name, so i guess it satisfies the O.P's original request ...

so sorry.

-------

"clef psychosis" (derived from "clef" (treble clef/ bass clef) pitch signature system).

"the iron bars". (derived from "bar" as in "bar" of music", and iron is "metal" (but it would be initially assumed to be a violent name))

"the wannabe's" (pimply faced teen males who have more ambition than talent)

"the starry tartlets" (teen girl glitz bubble gum and plastic bangle band)

"the hasbeens" (which is a band name the "wannabe's" will never get to rename themselves to later in life).

"tunes 15 to 1760 inclusive" (implying that during the life of the band, there will be 1745 different songs written and performed that are considered worthy by the composer for release)

"burning note factory"

"shut up and listen to this"

'buy our records"

"some musicians"

(if that band was extremely good, then it would be an interesting name to have because the radio would be the first mass exposure the public has to their music, and to be driving along and hear a song that is so good that you have to pull over to listen carefully to it, and then salivate over what the radio announcer will say the song is so i can go and buy it immediately, and then hear the radio announcer say "that was 'in the dark' (random example) by '...some musicians' ", would immediately captivate me and impel me to investigate what the band name is.

I posted it because I think it's an amusing word combination. It also makes a good band name.
After posting, I wondered if anyone would notice it was the name of an album by Frank Zappa.
I really didn't consider the matter any deeper than that. I must have been feeling frivolous or something. Sorry.

Mango Tango.

Its ok if its an album. Green Day wrote a song which was the same name as what they were before Green Day.

you are correct. i understand your logic and it is sound.

ok so you only thought about it after you posted it. that seems inconsistent with your usual posting style.

no need to be sorry. my impression of what you do is not consciously governed by you. it is an unintended by product of my personal appraisal which i am happy with, but i agree may be flawed.

i can not see the sense in those names i am sorry.
but i have finished contributing to this thread for quite some time because i am not in the business of imagining band names at the moment.

they may be good, they may be bad,
they may have been the best ideas that you have ever had,
but aren't you glad that you're not mad, and it's just the case that your best ideas are not enough...
to realize.....

the dreams you've always had.

how terribly sad.

i am waxing lyrical again and therefore i know i have to crawl into bed and forget everything.

There is actually very little to see.
Most of them (to me, anyway) make nice rhythms or sounds, or they're just outrageously silly combinations of words. Ideally, both.
I was quite pleased with Regina Cowcatcher, although I did briefly consider Regina H. Cowcatcher III but it's too long and 'jumpy'.

Sleep well. Or rather, since you're probably already asleep now - I hope you had a good sleep.
