Probably the Three Amigos. The Three Stooges can get pretty annoying---though they are funny.

I've never seen either movie. But I suspect I would like "The Mask" better.

The "Truman Show" seems like it has "1984" elements within it.

Diesel Electric(though I do love the romance of yesteryear's locos!)
On a Rail page, someone once wrote: "Deisel hydraulics are generally hideous oil-dripping monsters. Modern electric transmissions are often more efficient, even in light rail motors etc."

Cycling. (Diesel hydraulic used higher revving diesel engines, but were a LOT more powerful for their size. Hence a small 8 wheel diesl hydraulic loco would outpull a larger 12 or 16 wheel diesel electric.

The only reason why here in the UK they moved to a diesel elwctric policy was that Brush... Who supplied the traction motors had big connections with certain MP's who happened to be shaeholders...

In reality, though due to the higher revving diesel hydraulics needing to be serviced sligtly more often, this did not mean that the diesel electrics had the advantage... Mainly because a diesel hydraulic had a far better performance. An example of this was when a driver told me how he pulled a 16 coach train using a class 35 diesel hydraulic (Known as a Hymek) from Paddington towards Walss, and during the entire service he disn't lose a second of time. He said if he tried that with a diesel electric like a class 47 (Which was larger) he would have needed to double head and used two of them to keep to the timetable times with such a heavy train.

^^^Interesting ... I learned some of that on the same site!

Tank engines ... Usually tank engines were smaller than tender engines but that was not always the case. Tender engines could sometimes be quite small too.

Some of the tank engines used by British Railways (and its pre-war predecessors) were very large locomotives and capable of hauling heavy express trains at high speeds.

The real difference is that tank engines couldn't carry so much as coal and water as a tender engine therefore its range was limited. They were often used on tasks where turning them around would be difficult, impractical or impossible. Such as in marshalling yards, branch lines (without turntables) or 'banking' (pushing heavy goods trains up hills).

Pembroke as it has a huge hidden secret, though it would be nice to meet the Queen.
