Tommy, my brain extraction teacher, taught me a method of removing the Medulla Oblongata with nothing but a toothpick and several pairs of kneehigh socks. The chainsaw is merely for getting inside the head...

Wisely put, but the phrase 'getting in one's head' implies that there needs to be some actual brain left, not just smoldering bits of temporal lobe on the kitchen floor.
