Fantasy Lands-Gandesha-Let's Roleplay!
Sighing, she picked up a metallic object that resembled a cross between a screwdriver and an undefineable something else and dropped it into one of the voluminous pockets in her robes before heading back up to where she had last seen the man she was supposed to have healed. She could feel his lifeforce crackling again, even stronger than before, and felt rather foolish for having reacted as she had done...but she had forgotten just how resilient and inventive this man could be.
He was gone... and a note lay waiting for her, hastilly scribbled and barely legible, but a note nevertheless. She also noted that he appeared to have dropped something in his haste to leave. Picking up the note, she also picked up the odd looking coin from the floor and pocketed both. Simply holding the note had been enough to let her know of it's contents...a gift she had had since a child, and occasionally useful, but not one of her MOST useful abilities.
Twisting her hands together briefly, and with a last glance around the room, she focussed all of her considerable mental energies on reaching out through the misty fabrics that composed time and place to Quatermass and the newcomer who had so inconvenienced her. It didn't take long before she touched a mass of recognisably chaotic thoughts and looped her essence around his aura in order to pull herself in... the method worked well, but had the unfortunate effect of an elastic band pulled too tight. She rarely arrived in an elegant and composed manner. However, it was worth the brief discomfort because her method had proven itself time and again to be unintrusive and not cause any problems, or even awareness in the one she used as her target point.
With a deep breath and her eyes wide open, she visualised pulling herself along the invisible, telepathic threads that would lead her to her destination. Within seconds, she found herself flying through a maelstrom of colours, arms pressed tightly to her body...this was the turbulence before the heavy landing that awaited her. Finally, the colours and the confusion broke into shards around her and two figures became faintly visible just ahead of her. With all effort, she swung her body to the left in mid flight and focussed on slowing herself down just enough so that she wouldn't do too much damage, and closed her eyes, praying it would be something soft she would land on.
"Whoa!" yelped Quatermass as Myrrhdyn shot out of thin air and knocked him down.
"We DO have to stop meeting like this." muttered Quatermass as he picked himself off the ground, Myrrhdyn having been spared the same experience of becoming close to the earth by the precise kinetic interaction of her body against his, and her better sense of balance. In other words, she was able to land better after the recoil. Quatermass then noticed something shiny in her hand.
"Hey, that's my lucky 10 gil piece!"

Strange, she thought to herself as she came to a stop... that was an unusually soft landing and not only that, she had landed almost on her feet! Opening her eyes (for she had closed them at some point during the latter stages of her flight) she was met by the site of Quatermass lying rather unelegantly on the ground and felt her lips curve slightly upwards in some semblance of a grin. Coughing in an attempt to hide it, she stepped closer as he got to his feet,
'Oh dear, I never did quite manage to master my landings...but it is still an efficient way to travel', again she found herself starting to smirk but quickly looked down at her feet until she had regained her composure. After a few seconds, she lifted her gaze and noticed that he was now looking at her hand which had now uncurled slightly to reveal the coin. Eyes widening slightly, she held it out to him,
'I found it near the note... you obviously left in something of a hurry'

"Was that really necessary?" Alaric grumbled. "I was not directly responsible for that malign presence just now. Admittedly I am indirectly responsible, but that is rather a long story... Well you see, basically there is an entity loose on this world that was once a part of me. It has limited (though fairly devastating) power on this world, as no doubt you may have observed. Basically it appears to be linked to at least a fair number of the stranger than usual events around here - you may have noticed creatures resembling ogres and orcs; what is worse it managed to set up a chain of events destabilising this world, moving it toward entropy. It was quite a gradual process at first, but now it has been needlessly accelerated by the actions of a rash youth called Aaron..." He broke off. "Well a fair share of the blame is mine. By the way, some friends of yours, Dibble and Tom I think it was, are not in quite such peril as they were - do not ask me how I know about your connection with them; I have however seen them recently; they are with Irial, Sindri and Marie on a vessel able to pass through the heavens. Sindri's motives are not yet all clear to me. Still I suspect Ra'a Ruach, the entity of which I spoke, may seek common cause with the soul-gobblers. There is not time to explain much more. Where is Myrrhdyn?"
"Um, she didn't stick around to see my regeneration after I sacrificed my head to save my life.....ENTROPY????"
Screaming figures ran through the crumbling streets of Logopolis, Traken, and a number of different worlds. They died as heat death caught up with them, no longer being transferred through the charged vacuum eboitments. Their bodies crumbled and broiled away as entire solar systems fell.
Quatermass looked around. The world now seemed different. It wasn't as close to entropic dissolution as those other lost worlds, in another time and another universe, but he could see the time-space fractures. It wasn't just like seeing broken glass. It was having your eyes pressed into them.
"Last time I saw this happen, it was the careless meddling of a man searching for immortality at the expense of others, and revenge against one of my mentors. What does this.....Ra'a Rauch want? And soul gobblers.... I remember hearing Tom mentioning this. Eldritch things that do not know when to stop taking, yes?"
"Well I am not certain that Ra'a Ruach (not Rauch, not that it matters) is altogether clear ITSELF concerning what it is that IT wants, but yes the soul gobblers are pretty much as you describe them. As I am sure you will appreciate if you have witnessed the consequences of the folly of the power crazed, and indeed the effects of entropy, there is little time to go into further explanations. I may already have made more leaps through time than was quite prudent, and things are too unstable. That man you mentioned... sound familiar...." Alaric trailed off. He had met the Master, and had not emerged well out of the encounter. He also remembed Traken and some of the other worlds laid waste by the destructive folly of.... There was no time for this.
"Do you know how to locate Myrrhydn? Certainly with the two of us working together the odds should be evened considerably, but I believe her help will be vital... I really need to learn to commmunicate more concisely."

"Well I must say that I am impressed, though I should have expected as much from so gifted an individual," Alaric remarked. "Myrrhdyn descendant of Merlin AKA Myrddin AKA Emrys, alias the Doctor..." He trailed off. "Well I am afraid there is not much time for pleasantries. Basically this world and probably many more are threatened with utter devastation, and your help will be invaluable in preventing this, as no doubt you will agree, thoroughly undesirable outcome. Quatermass, between us we can fill her in on the details as we go. If of course, that is you are not exhausted by that elegant method of transportation you have just employed." He paused. "Oh I am a kinsman of yours by the way, Myrrhdyn, and of someone whom you," turning to Quatermass, "may remember as a mentor after a fashion. My name is Alaric, or at least that is the name I have been using for a little while now, and it suits me. Shall we be going?"

Myrrhdyn glanced across as another male came near, eyes sharp and lucid as she surveyed him with a mixture if curiosity and suspician,
'You seem to know if me well, Sir', she said, her tone giving away nothing of her internal thought processes, as she tried to recall from whence she knew this person...there was certainly something familiar in their energy, but she couldn't quite place it, 'Details of what, might I ask? And no, I am quite alright, I am accustomed to energy fluctuations...I have to be with the kind of work I do, although sometimes it does have unfortunate consequences.'
Pausing to take a deep breath, she rubbed her eyes hard and listened silently as the other continued to speak, her face displaying nothing of her inner thoughts and feelings, 'I am sure I do not remember you... your energy, I will admit, is somewhat familiar, but other than that, I cannot place you at this time. You must understand, of course, that when you have existed in one form or another, for as long as I have, there are many, many variations of energy in my memory. No doubt this knowledge will return to me in time...', she finished softly, turning to look at Quatermass who was stood nearby, 'Well?', she enquired of him...

"It seems that doom, gloom, death and destruction are threatening at least this world. Oh, and I'll have my lucky 10-gil piece back."
Quatermas plucked the coin from Myrrhdyn's hand.
"Thanks. Got it off some 6-armed fellow, told me to call him Gil. I think he also travels between dimensions..."
Quatermass turned to Alaric.
"And don't think I wasn't paying attention. You mentioned the Doctor! How do you know him? And you knew I was talking about Koschei when I talked about entropy. Well, what's your story?"
((Alexander, Koschei is the Time Lord name of the Master))

Releasing the coin to Quatermass, Myrrhdyn frowned slightly, turned back to Alaric briefly, then sighed and wandered off a little into the distance, crouching down to watch a fawn that in turn had been watching them, it would seem. It's large eyes seemed almost hypnotic as she stared into them, trying to read the creature. She had always had an affinity with animals, and would often communicate with them in ways most humans wouldn't understand, but this one was different somehow... she shuddered and tried to pull her gaze away, but found herself unable to and her thoughts beginning to fill with a language she didn't know, intersperced with a blood red pattern.
"All right," Nyx said. "Follow me." It would undoubtedly look strange, a walking coat with bats, but whatever. The people of the city were jaded about such oddities.
She led Garnet and her two bats through the quickly-filling sidewalks, occasionally waving to someone she knew. Her friends were generally dirty: the homeless, the thieves, the city walkers. Nyx had connections with the "lower" order, and they accepted her.
When she finally stopped, they were outside a large brownstone building. Nyx pulled out her key ring, sorted through them, and eventually unlocked the door. She pushed it over to reveal a large front hallway. The floors were light wood, and the walls were a cream-washed tint. A vase of roses and trumpet flowers adorned one corner, while in another a metal gryphon leered down. A glass table was streched along one wall; books, papers, and pens littered its top. Overall, it looked like the reception room in a fancy business office.
"Trust me," Nyx assured the vampire girl, "the rest of my house is pretty dark. You can just throw the coat on that table."
She assumed Garnet would do that ((is that powerplaying? If it is, sorry)) and led on. From the front hallway, the apartment flowed into a large living room. Several red couches lay around a dark coffee table. A TV sat next to a complex stero system just beyond the table. Two windows, one on each side of the TV, showed the streets and lit the room. The floors were still light wood, but the walls were painted black. Over that coat of paint, someone had drawn three dragons. Sheets of colored glass were randomly placed about the walls, all detailed. Another door was at the back of the room.
A staircase rose in the back. Imershia bounded up it, eager to find her bone. Nyx smiled slightly and turned to Garnet to say something. However, just as she opened her mouth, the phone rang.
"How does that always happen?" she asked, but was all ready turning towards it. "I'll be back in a minute. You can do whatever you want." She hurried up the stairs, taking them two at a time and leaving Garnet alone.
(Sorry, I did it again and left for ten thousand years)
Garnet put her coat on the table and smiled around her. She loved houses like this-with hardly any sunlight. She knew what would happen to her if the sun ever reached her. She shivered.
Foijin, meanwhile, glanced at the dog. He searched his head for the dog language, found it, and went over to the dog. Maybe she could help him.
"My name is Foijin," he said. "The little girl is my master."
Nantadha slept, clinging to a curtain with her tiny feet.
Garnet looked up at Nyx going upstairs. "Why do you skip every other stair?" she called.

Sindri walked into The Shire hastily. Black clouds hung overhead. A storm was definitely coming.
He climbed the stairs to get into his first floor room. All he needed was the potions and spellbooks he had left behind.
He went across the floor, past one door on the left, then touched the next one. He had cast a shield spell on it to keep intruders out. Only he could open the door. It clicked, and flung open. Sindri gathered his things, and walked out of the room, turning to the right, where he had come from.
At least four men stood, with heavy black armour, and large swords and maces. "Hand it over, you're not getting out of this."
Sindri laughed maniacally, and turned around. There were another 3 figures that way. He ran back into the room he had come from, and cast the shield spell on the door again. He pointed his left hand at the window, and it shot white lightning at the window, which broke into thousands of tiny pieces. Sindri ran and jumped out, carefully braced for impact on the floor. As he landed, he balanced himself. It seemed that the enemy's horses were outside. He cast death upon them all, and ran back to the airship. It was half past two now, and it started raining.
