Spain, and can you please explain why this is a question people ask? It's now the 3rd time I've seen it in this game. I feel like there has to be a reason these two countries pop up together in peoples' minds, and I can't guess what it is!

It's an option I've probably posted, and can only guess at why the association occurs (consciously or subconsciously) to some people:

1) Geographical proximity of the countries.

2) Languages derived from same source (Latin) with many similarities.

3) Popular Mediterranean holiday destinations for Europeans.

4) Historical parallels in 20th Century - both countries had right-wing dictatorships (Mussolini and Franco), in the latter case until the mid-1970s. Also Spanish kings (Bourbons) ruled most of Southern Italy in the 18th and 19th Centuries.
