Art House - a general term for films made by intellectual, often controversial directors. First made their appearance in late 1950s/early 1960s, many of them French ('New Wave'/'Nouvelle Vague') or Italian. Google Jean-Luc Godard, Michelangelo Antonioni, Robert Bresson for starters. I find most of them tedious, pretentious and self-indulgent, but they have a certain fascination. Check out A Bout De Souffle (Godard), Blow Up (Antonioni) and Mouchette (Bresson). Et bonne chance!

Cactus! Quirky, lovable, and prickly, with the occasional gorgeous blossom. Needs some water, but is happy being left alone a lot of the time. Is a cactus the Aspie of plants? I don't like the smell of Geraniums.
