Oh, it's just because Krabo disappeared for a while, and Sylkat disappeared for a while, and we were trying to get them all back... gibberish has never disappeared from the landscape, so far as I can tell. :P

Those combined peanut-butter and jelly jars are disgusting, it ruins both flavors to have them sitting together for so long. Terrible idea.

As an adult though, I've often forgotten just how good a fresh peanut-butter and jelly sandwich can taste, at least to me. And now that I think about it, it's a kid's first real introduction to the salty/sweet gustatory paradox. :D

When I was a kid, I refused to eat the crunchy peanut butter. Now I refuse to eat any other kind. 8)

I like 'Goober Grape'.

Grape jelly is the very best jelly with peanut butter, but raspberry or boysenberry is pretty good, too.

A peanut butter/grape jelly/butter/croissant sandwich is close to perfection.

I remember a Peanuts cartoon where Snoopy is invited to breakfast with Woodstock. He is offered one crouton with grape jelly.

Seriously Krabo, korppu..? :D I don?t know who you?re trying to lure, but you?re not going to increase Finland?s population count with kanelikorppu.

Moomingirl, I didn?t know you played ice hockey. I could never get the hang of it, probably because I was so terrible at ice skating. I couldn?t even turn around properly on skates or stop without bumping myself into the wall, so giving me a stick and telling me that I was supposed to do something else in addition to not falling and not bumping from wall to wall, was kind of pointless. Oh, well. You have your own team then?

Envirozentinel, I?m coming with Moomingirl to visit you for the pancakes! :)

Peanut-butter and jelly? Together? 8O I don't understand why anyone would voluntarily put themselves through something like that.

Thousands of Russians are moving in. They can't resist kanelikorppu.

I don't think that is what they're after...Russia has always had a habit of trying to move in to other people's countries.

Actually, they tried that with us. Didn't quite succeed.

"Can't resist kanelikorppu" sounds like an oxymoron to me. :)

I want cookies so badly now. :(

I remember the internet making a big fuss about that, when they became aware of that bit of history not too long ago.

Russia and its military are all portrayed even in the US with Putinesque, Soviet nostalgia, as a bunch of barrel-chested Vodka-fortified Cossacks who all carry anti-aircraft guns as standard issue and ride giant Grizzly Bears half naked through the ice and snow. And they carried a lot of WWII. These are the people everyone says you don't invade during winter, as a point of fact in Military Wisdom 101.

These are the people Finland beat with a 10-to-1 casualty ratio, if I recall correctly. 8O

The cookies will have to wait. I just had a dental extraction this afternoon. The best things come to those who wait!

Riikka, jelly in Amerispeak is apparently what we civilized folk refer to as "jam". Despite this, peanut butter and jam still sounds quite unappealing together, and would not endear me to American food.

In a few days, the Dark Side will be more than ready to accept acolytes desirous of the awaiting treats... 8)
