^^Something like that. In a bizarre way, Stalin helped us by having large numbers of high-ranking officers shot. Also, most of the Soviet troops on our border where from warmer areas, they just weren't meant to fight in the snow.

That is bizarre. I've heard of Stalin's famous paranoia, though. He really didn't do Russia any favors. IIRC, he directly or indirectly caused most of WWII's casualties, military or otherwise, among his own people. Something like 45 million people, if you count everyone who starved during collectivization.

Maybe nobody is really meant to fight in the snow, unless that's literally the only option they've ever had. Finland doesn't really have warmer areas, does it? :P

Nope. In wintertime, it's all tundra. Summers are warm, though.

Right. Warm.

Sixty-eight degrees is probably considered a deadly heat wave.

Here, Southern California, candles melt in an uncooled room.

Seriously.

Oh, Krabo... :D

Enviro, jam might actually be worse.. And the cookies better be extra delicious if we have to wait! :)

I wonder what the thought process behind the whole peanutbutter-jam combo was. There are so many things that taste nice, but I've never thought "Hey, I like chocolate and I like salmon, I'm going to put them together and see how it goes!". How many combinations of random foods did they try before arriving at something like this? I almost feel curious enough to google it.

Really off-topic, but how old is Enviro?

Really off topic, but how old are you? :D

I know, but as he doesn't have it on his profile, I will let him tell you if he wishes.

By the way Riikka, you probably have an overly impressive picture of my ice hockey skills. In our league, as long as you can stand up while using your stick for balance, you're pretty much allowed in. I'm an okay player, but I don't think I would impress any Finns.

And that's supposed to make them sound appealing? What are you, part Finnish? :P

I like them. I just wish celery wasn't so...stringy.

Try a different variety. I'm not sure what kind it was I grew in my garden last year (whatever seeds were available at the store) but it wasn't stringy at all.

Celery is for bunnies. Ask any Finn. If you can't find a Finn, ask any Russian.
