^

Write a shopping list. Then I'll buy everything and get home before remembering one or two things that I forgot to put on there in the first place.

Same question

I have a sort of list, but it's in my head, not written down.

Cricket or Croquet?

Croquet. I played it as a child at my grandmother's house. I know nothing about cricket.

Cricket. I like watching international matches (usually ODI or Twenty20) sometimes.

Watching or playing: football (whichever kind) or basketball?

I used to like playing football. By the other kind, I assume you mean Rugby - I loathe that game!

US$ 50,000 one-off lump sum or $5000 per annum for life?

^ Many different sports get called "football" or "footy", depending on the country (or even depending on the state in Australia). And you spelled "love" wrong, too. :P

I'll take the US$5,000 per year for life, since I plan to live well over 10 years. Might be different if I was saving for something bigger, like a much larger home deposit.

Same question.

It's all about inflation, isn't it? If things go on as they're doing at present, that $5000 could be worth a LOT less in 10 years. I'd only take the $5000 per annum if it was indexed to the inflation rate.

Queen Elizabeth the First of England (reigned 1558-1603) or Hilary Clinton?

I'll let auntblabby's neighbour decide... but saying that Queen Liz maybe?

Live in a badly run democracy or a well run autocracy?

Debatable, depends to some extent on how benign the autocrat is or how corrupt the democracy is.

Drive or take public transport?

I'd prefer to drive if road conditions were as they were forty years ago. Sadly I rely on our rubbish public transport these days.

Pay with credit card or using one of those mobile phone apps (sorry, I don't know what they are exactly - Apple Pay, etc?).

Credit card, don't trust those new fangled ways of paying. Personally I still prefer to barter but nobody accepts radishes or goats as payment nowadays.

Carry cash, card or both?

I carry a £10 note 'just in case', but in practice I pay for everything with my Mastercard, even £0.99 items.

Wired headphones or wireless?

Wired, much cheaper and less chance of losing them.

Yes, wired, but only because I never figured out how to use the wireless ones.

Terrestrial TV (Freeview?) or something else (satellite? streaming? - sorry, I'm really out of touch in this area, I just use YouTube!).
