Ugly is all I can tell you. What the hell were the Red Sox doing not walking Tejada to load up the bases with no outs in the bottom of the 10th? Then, with one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, why do they not walk Millar to load the bases? This is Baseball 101!! !

Very interesting you should ask that. I always thought a good pitcher always tries to keep the bases empty.

Very interesting! I just assumed (and obviously made an @$$ out of U and ME-D) that most aspies did not enjoy sports, clearly i am wrong! I assumed cause I cant stand watching others play sports because whoever wins or looses has no berring on my life at all, that others felt the same way. I really need to stop assuming things based on what I see in myself.

Well, when the home team is batting in the bottom of the 9th or later in a tie game and they get runners on 1st and 3rd with nobody out, you load the bases to create a force play at home on a ground ball. If the guy on third scores, the game is over and you lose. Then, with one out, and the guy on 1st having just stolen 2nd, you now must walk the batter to create the force at home and to set up the double play that could get you out of the inning without the guy on 3rd scoring. The other runners mean nothing. Only the guy on third matters in this situation. It really is basic Baseball 101!! !
