Well, on the one hand, we really ought to be more careful to remember that at this point she's just an "allegedly stary lady".
That said, on the one hand, her right eye appears to be glass.
And on the other hand, the left appears quite happe.
So, I'm going to split the difference on the SS (stary scale) and call it a 5, because I can count that high on either, or both hands, or all three. (allegedly)
And, if either or both eyes were on the allegedly, mightn't one tiny push for mankind spare us all this counting and worm herding? I ask merely because I need to know.

So that's still more stary than the albatross?

I'm going to find some albatross meltdown images and test these against the first stary lady.

I don't know how much more stress a poor Albatross could have. I would be having a meltdown.
I found this disturbing...

Probably more disturbing the quote National Geographic makes "young albatrosses learn that having a tiger shark as a motivator works"... WTF?

Albatrosses passing the worm and other bird worm rituals.

It's like find the lady -you've got to guess which albatross has the worm. Note worm throwing in air move.

These really are cool birds.

You might want to kill the music it's about 3 on "contains some mild scrapey noises scale."

So which one got the worm? can you keep up?

Plantwhisperer I am so glad you have manged to use a numerical system of evalutaion . It must have taken considerable effort and time and your hard work is appreciated.

Did you recount the number of fingers, and are you sure you didn't count any of them twice? I am afraid I am a twice counter and I get a coworker to check my math on crucial things.

You can use sticky tape on each digit to make sure you are only counting one at a time, or a non toxic wash-off marker pen .

I can send you a pdf with diagrams of both techniques if you require any further help with this methodolgy.

Hey, do you think being stared at real hard when being interviewed would freak out even a mild aspie kid? It would have got me crawling up the sides of the wall and eating the paint off the ceiling.

On a scale of "those bits of hair in eyes and down neck at the barbers"-rating,

Total melty-D time ! !!

That is some bizarre bird behavior, almost seems choreographed to that music.

Was that worm traveling so fast I could not see it?

Hmm tiger sharks- water- solution = out of.

solution - albatrosses work together , join seaweed strands with amazingly agile beaks to make seaweed rope.
Brave albartoss goes in as bait, other albatrosses get seaweed rope under shark whilst shark distracted, mass effort ,haul the b*stard out of water take him up to 500 m and drop him in middle of Albatross colony for albatross parents to deal with said shark.

Only takes one bright albatross, evolution's weird like that.

Man ,imagine the (big) chicks s/he'd pull after that stunt.

I am at a loss to describe these birds. The bird ritual seems like some kind of mating ritual or something like that... That led me to "beak sex"... which then led straight to "elbow sex" from Rocky Horror Picture Show... my mind works in weird ways...

memestirer: As you might have guessed, I have been prestidigicalculating for many, many, many years. Perhaps, more than 5? Although, I do still occasionally require an assistant in a colorful, multliayered costume to second check my haphazard sleight of hand. And I'm totally okay with that, because I, for one, have always enjoyed men in tights.

As far as hair, and albatrosses 'round about the shoulders, go:
Being stared at stresses me out for the reflexive reason that I assume, rightly or wrongly, that I'm supposed to be mindreading. The implicit expectation, backhinged to the oft following: rejection/disappointment/laughter unpleasant associations triggers my amygdala, and makes me sometimes, wince, and look elsewhere. As a mildly effected tot, it was just a wee bit intense for tinsy sensitive me.

F'icksgirl: By all means, bring us your young. We'd enjoy nothing more than motor-vating 'em. 8O

Plantwhisperer Ok , now as you know I have no TOM so I can't read you mind right?

So this is a totally random image , OK

This guy is staring , do you mind being stared at by him. Is there any reason why you mind more or less being stared at him than say the lady in image 1 ?

This is a completely random sample .
