Are you kidding about that? Seriously, the caseless ammunition is impractical. It tends to cook off (the powder ignite from leftover heat from firing)

Dynamit-Nobel formulated a special powder that didn't cook off, and I would hardly call it 'impractical', more like, "The greatest innovation in ammunition since the metallic cartridge".

I've neither seen nor heard anything about failure to feed problems, where did you see this?

EDIT: and with electronic firing, you can make the powder even more resistant to premature ignition.

Yes, it needs some good cooling. A band of liquid nitrogen around the firing piece ought to do the job.

WTF?? I thought we were talking about real firearms.

Since guns are common I go with the item this song mentions:

The best weapon I find is a cigarette lighter. The cops aren't gonna arrest you for having one. Any time I go out and there's a chance I might run into strife, I eat several cans of baked beans. So if trouble erupts I can fend attackers off with my anus flame thrower. Works every time!

a rocket launcher should kill everything in the room...all the cats anyways

I picked the Barrett M82A1. For a scope I'd probly get a Schmidt & Bender Police Marksman II 4-16x50mm with a Badger Ordnance mounting base and rings. With a skilled user, enough practice, and good match grade ammo this beast of a rifle can effectively reach out over a mile. .50's are soooo awsome. If you ever goet a chance to shoot one DO IT!! ! Recoil isn't that bad since most .50's are heavy and they tend to have very effective muzzle-brakes to dissapate recoil. Muzzle blast and concussion are horrendous, though.
At first I was going to pick the H&K MP-5 and it's a close second choice.
I noticed the AK got a lot of votes. Best qualities for those are that they're very simple and reliable. Easy and economical for the poorer underdeveloped countries to manufacture, too. Accuracyand ergonomics leave a lot to be desired, though.
I thnk the AR15/M16 family is better than some believe. My Bushmaster M4 is my go to gun if things go bad enougn to warrant it. Devastaing hurricane or other breakdowns of society. It's happened before.

I voted for the Dragunov because you don't have the Vintorez VSS as an option.
As sidearms, I'd take a pair of CZ-75 9mm pistols with silencers.

For a general purpose battle rifle, Sprinfield M1A scout squad with no frills (this'll be the next one I buy).
Image
For a sniper, I'd go with a Dakota Longbow in .338 Lapua Magnum (not sure I'll ever get one; expensive).
Image
For a combat scattergun, I actually own an FN TPS, which is configured not unlike the one in this pic:
Image
And of course I carry a subcompact 10mm Glock 29, and keep a 10mm Glock 20 by my bed. (No pics, everyone knows what Glocks look like.)

Trivia: Faye Valentine favours a subcompact Glock 30 in .45ACP.

Good fortune,

- Icarus the Gun Nut

I don't know anything about guns, so I'll abstain from voting.

I think using a modern crossbow would be pretty cool though.

Everyone likes to say Desert Eagle until they fire one in real life. Those things'll dislocate your damn arm.

I said P-90 due to compact size, accuracy, and 50 round clip.

Speaking of pistols that will dislocate your arm, I'm saving up for a snub-nose S&W .500 revolver. I will name it the Godhammer.

Distance, and maximum boom.

no nuke option, so I'll go with the rocket launcher.

0.480 in sniper rifle was accurate enough to hit a bullseye at a 1.5 mi.
