SERVO CLAIMS ILLEGAL ARMS SALES MADE BY MONUMENT
President Servo is denying charges he authorized secret arms sales to Awesonian Empire in violation of a Servoian law drafted by the opposition party. The President claims the sales were authorized by his former Secretary of War, the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Monument, without his knowledge. Monument acknowledges making the sales, but claims he thought they were technically legal, although he says not to know of whether the President approved. The opposition is calling for hearings into the matter, and a review into the Republic's "inappropriate" relationship the the Empire.

SERVO CONDEMNS "UNWARRANTED IMPERIALISTS"
Despite continuing calls for Legislative inquiry, President Servo again condemned repeated attacks against the Awesonian Empire as "unwarranted imperialism." He vowed to again veto attempts to prevent bar members of the Republic from enlisting in the Awesonian military, or similarly bar Republican corporate interests from assisting the Awesonian war effort. While conceding that "peace is our ultimate objective," he countered "it is not the unjust peace of annexation offered by our enemies."
Senator Fox Elroy, referred to the President's remarks as, "Highly irresponsible."
