You have severe social phobia.

And I thought I was doing well, thinking it wouldn't be so bad and marveling at all of the things I could and would do! Oh well.

God, its official, I'm a pansy

Your score:
54(fear) 65 (avoidance) 119

The scoring scale:
55-65 Moderate social phobia
65-80 Marked social phobia
80-95 Severe social phobia
Greater than 95 - Very severe social phobia

Tis right!, but is it because I'm too aware of it, that causes me problems?

with a caveat. I avoid social interactions, sure, but not at the expense of my goals.

Very well structured test.

I wasnt able to check anything. Nothing really makes me uncomfortable. I am indifferent to many social situations but Im not avoident of them. I realize I seem strange to other people and it doesnt bother me. I could just care less about what other people think.
Im wondering if many people with autistic spectrum disorders develop social anxiety because of how people react to their socially awkward behavior along with little understanding on how other people precieve us. I think a simple cure for that would be realizing that what other people are thinking does not matter.
But then someone might believe that it does matter but I still wonder why it would matter if someone thinks negatively of you because that would make them an insignifant person in your life whos thoughts and opinions shouldn't matter. You cannot please everyone because its impossible.
I also wonder if I am different from other people in that I realize things other people dont, or I have something like neurological rewiring in my brain that makes me completely unaware of my own feelings and even most my own thoughts. I feel like a dreaming robot.

You have moderate social anxiety.

About right...it's very dependent on the situation. Calm situations, yes...high-pressure ones (mean, overbearing people) or unpleasant activities (especially where drinking or heavy partying is involved)...count me out.

A lot of times my anxiety leves are high, but I have no choice but to deal with it. That's why my avoidance score is low compared to my fear score.
