"Cracker" is a derogatory American term for a white person, especially a Southern white person, though it also frequently means white people in general.

Cracker used to be a nickname of mine irl before it became known as a derogatory term for white people.

I think it's because white people used to crack the whip.

Seems a bit extreme the word is on the blocked list for WP as it is so unlikely to be used in the derogatory form, especially when many people don't know what it means. Blocking the n word I can understand.
