Fantasy Lands-Gandesha-Let's Roleplay!
When he had recovered from his alarm at Grilor/Retger's abrupt changes of mood and what had looked frightfully like an attempt on Graelwyn's life but had turned about to be some sort of powerful healing and exorcism of her ravaged soul, Alaric commenced to explain that Ra'a Ruach was a powerful being of unadulterated evil, and inquired whether Grilor would be interested in joining them in preventing the devastation of this world and others.
"By the way," he continued, "how do you feel? I treated some of the damage, but I am not the best myself at the moment." He frowned. He had thought that he had healed Myrrhdyn earlier. Beasts? He felt unsteady for a bit, then fell into a trance, beholding a vision of unmitigated calamity...
When he emerged from this state, a vague memory of who and what Grilor might be began to surface. He realised that now the storm must be high indeed to bring such a figure to their aid. He also felt a stirring of compassion as something of the suffering that the alarming figure before them had undergone in order to become who he now was returned to him; the memories seemed to be unclear in many areas, but surely they had met... He shook his head. There was little time now. He wondered why the sun had not darkened again yet; by his calculations he had returned to the appropriate point in time that he had earlier left some time ago. He was glad that it had not; still, he would be easier in his mind if he understood why.
Then a procession of robed figures came over the hill. Noticing the habits they wore, he recognised them. He braced himself for a long explanation.

As they approached, Alaric recognised the figures as the prior and abbot of his former monastery, the Superior General of the Scientian Order, the Archimandrite of Lagoth, various prelates, patriarchs and other high ranking clerics, accompanied by several monks, novices and acolytes. He sighed, realising that they probably had become convinced of his heresy by now. Advancing to meet them, he bowed his head with folded hands in greeting.
"Do you mind explaining," began the Archimandrite, "just what is going on?"
Alaric gave a fairly concise summary, seeking to impress upon the assembled ecclesiastics the urgency of the situation. Recognising that some present were skilled in block transfer computation, he implored them to at least slow the entropy by draining some of its effects into the currently uninhabited universe where the Empire of Charn had once held sway. That should at least give more time to confront Ra'a Ruach and associated minions. He noticed something different in the mien of his former prior, an austere man by the name of Hafgan.
He waited for the arrival of those whom he had originally intended to summon; thankfully Retger/Grilor had drawn most of the beasts Ra'a Ruach had summoned into himself; however he sensed that the warrior would need similar healing to that which had been given by him to Myrrhdyn. Visions of the past of the man who had been Retger kept assailing Alaric's mind; as a descendant of beings from different time streams he was sensitive to the vibrations of different continua. He approached Grilor, thanking him for his considerable help, and sought to get to know him better without intruding too far.
He wondered when or perhaps if, Irial would arrive. Then he threw out his mind again.

Sindri ran for the airship, casting Float to make him hover lightly above the ground. He swung bloodbane as he took swift flight from The Shire.
Two more armoured figures blocked his advance at the bridge, standing next to each other with greatswords.
He cast Death, which was somehow reflected, and, flexibly, he jump attacked, springing into the air, and coming crashing down with a heavy and shocking blow to one of the enemies. What should have pierced his enemy's armour, simply pushed him to the ground...
Adamant armour, even stronger than Mithril. If Sindri's blade was not enchanted Dark Mithril, it would have shattered.
Sindri cast a magic reflection spell on himself, and ran for the airship, still hovering on air, and going very quickly.

Alaric, having cast forth his mind, was confronted by a vision of a great battle. Recognising the black mage Sindri, who while a competent sorcerer and warrior seemed to be beset with some formidable foes. His mind did a double-take for a fraction of a second - it had been a while since he had seen mithril, or Middle Earth either for that matter. He scanned for the other companions. Irial Faith, Dibble and Tom he recognised, but Marie seemed obscured to his scrying somehow. Not being able to transport himself directly there without inviting further calamity, he used some of his other abilities to provide Sidnri and the others with some cover while they made it back to the airship.
He made his outer mind into a mist of confusion and descended apon the ravenous hoard of foes. He knew this would attract the attention of Ra'a Ruach at some risk to himself, but considering the alternative was certain ruin, he was prepared to chance it. Besides, he had another reason for wishing to confront his nemesis, one that he had not so far mentioned to Myrrhdyn, Quatermass, or Retger, who was all that remained of the Land and the People of Grilor. He had learnt that Ra'a Ruach had seized Eledhwen...

Tom could feel Alaric lurking, and didn't trust him one bit. He would have sent him a nasty telepathic message, but Dibble had an idea.
"If you and him can work together, and I put up my shield, couldn't we make a path to my world where we can rest and recuperate?" she asked.
"No...F***ing...way...." Tom swore, earning him a severe thumping from Dibble.
Tom knew Alaric, but he could not remember where from. He just knew that warning bells went off in his head when he thought of him.
Dibble sniffed the air. Something was moving between the worlds and times, which was why it was dangerous to teleport or time-shift.
Then she recognised the smell.
Soul-Gobblers and Sun-Demons, the two most powerful forces in the Evil Eight, were going to not only attack her, Irial, Marie and Tom, but Alaric, Quatermass, Myrrhdyn and Grilor!! !
"Tom! Please! We have to get out of here!" Dibble pulled at Tom's arm. The Bear was whimpering.
"Dibble! We do NOT have to teleport, and it's far too dangerous!" Tom growled.
"Why won't you listen to me?"
"You don't know anything about magic or this world! Or ANY of them!"
Famous last words as Soul-Gobblers and Sun-Demons swarmed down upon them.

Sensing Tom's distrust, Alaric couls not help but feel a little hurt, but then he couldn't really blame him either, given he barely trusted himself these days. Anyway he had to concentrate... Sun Demons AND Soul-Gobblers? He shuddered to think of the forces arrayed against them, but gathering his courage changed his tactics and started drawing his energy from where his body was at some distance away, not quite as perilous as transporting matter through the space-time vortex had become given the recent developments, but fairly close. Nevertheless, it was imperative that Irial and the others made it to Myrrhdyn, Quatermass, Grilor and Alaric's erstwhile brethren AND that they were not followed. It had been a while since he last encountered a sun demon, and that had been only one; now they seemed innumerable. He abandoned caution to the winds and shifted from stealth to a direct assault upon Ra'a Ruach's Bond, exploiting the divisions that he knew had long existed among the Evil Eight, particularly these two most powerful of the factions within the coalition, which had begun as an alliance of convenience. He doubted Ra'a Ruach would be able to maintain unswerving unity and subordination to a single authority for long. Particularly when he started drawing upon the energy of the sun and using it directly against the demons; initially they were able to use same force that was attacking them to heal themselves, but he stormed their minds, seeking to weaken his enemies power by loosing the links of the Bond. He was not usually this ruthless, but he rather thought that the circumstances called for it. He hoped that the others would get away to comparative safety (once together in one place Myrrhdyn, Irial, Marie, Sindri, Dibble, Quatermass, Grilor and Tom should pretty much be able to leave Ra'a Ruach for dead. Or so he fondly hoped. The minions might take a while to deal with though. Not daring to risk transporting his body by other than the means considered conventional on a number of worlds, he summoned it to join the part of his mind that was faltering; partition from its home for long periods of time tended to exhaust it, and he had been doing this sort of thing too much of late.

The Sindri/Irial/Marie/Others party have taken an airship and reached Greystone. Sindri went to The Shire(an inn), where he had been stopping at, the others stayed with the airship. Sindri ran into trouble(well armoured Black Templars) and fled back to the airship, with all his books and equipment. The others are fending off some sort of attack from orcs/goblins.

Irial was frustrated.
'We could escape so easily, and they just stand around wasting their time,' she couldn't help noticing.
She left the deck, and entering a quiet place, as she couldn't concentrate outside, attempted contacting Alaric telepathically.
"Where are you?" She asked. "Is there any way you can help me transport the entire ship to where you are?"

Sindri reached the airship, to find goblin corpses scattered everywhere. He could see Irial crouched near the river, seemingly thinking. Only Marie seemed to be onboard, from what he could see. Where had the others gone?
The Black Mage called to Irial "What has happened, where are the others?

"Well, I can, but I am afraid it may be quite risky at the moment." He paused to sever the link of the Sun Demons with Ra'a Ruach, their current master, then severed their link with the sun of the world they were currently in. With the entropy halted and slowed down, due to the block transfer computation experts amongst the Scientians, he had arranged earlier, it should be comparatively safe to risk a bit of teleportation. He managed to move Dibble and Tom into the airship, where Sindri, Marie and Irial already were, and sent the whole craft through hyperspace to directly over where Myrrhdyn, Quatermass, Retger/Grilor and quite a few assembled former colleagues of his were, along with his own body, which he promptly halted from walking towards the detached part of his mind, which he now split into thirteen Jungian Archetypes which proceeded to do battle with their shadow counterparts within Ra'a Ruach, greatly weakened by the defeat of most of the Sun Demons, along with quite a few of the Soul Gobblers. Alaric had not been this violent for a millennium or more.
Ra'a Ruach's mirroring of Alaric's ploy had the unintended effect (for the Dark Intelligence was starting to lose its grip) of freeing some of the evil consciousnesses that had been absorbed into it. These included that of a certain Koschei...

Tom was FURIOUS.
Not only had Alaric's teleportation ripped a huge hole in space and time (which the EE were currently using), it had ripped apart Tom's disguise. Instead of a human male, was a dragon/slug/human creature.
"Tom? Is that-?" Dibble poked him.
"NOW I remember you! YOU took my Gerwish collector card back in the 4th Study!" Ethotoms growled at Alaric. "Remember me?"
Dibble groaned. "It's you alright."
Ethotoms snarled at her.
She sighed, and spoke to Alaric.
"Has he always been this way? Oh, and why the hell doesn't anyone remember him?"
The Bear was curious about Quatermass and Myrrhdyn. It had seen Quatermass before, but was unsure about Myrrhdyn.
"Friend?" it asked.
"Yes dear, they're friends." Dibble stroked it.
Meanwhile, Ethotoms had flown off. He'd had enough for one day, and just needed to breathe.
"TOM!" Dibble cried.
Alaric's thirteen alter egos were interrupted just as they were gaining ground in their conflict with Ra'a Ruach by Ethotoms' petulant complaint. They sighed, reunited with eachother and with Alaric's body, taking care to banish the much depleted fiend to the void, through the hole in space time, which he promptly repaired.
"There! Satisfied?" he grumbled to the rapidly departing Ethotoms. "And that was someone else entirely who stole your confounded card."
Koschei had survived. He always did, somehow. He had exhausted so many lives in his holding onto life that at times even the interminable pursuit of unlimited power over matter and energy, over space and time, palled somewhat as a means of giving direction and entertainment to his existence. He had destroyed countless worlds with their inhabitants; their fate did not move him especially. He would outlast that interfering Doctor! He was the Master, and they WOULD obey him. He sought temprary refuge in a subconscious corner of someone's mind. Yet another body. This one looked like a definite improvement on previous vessels though. The new receptacle of the Master's consciousness began to chuckle stereotypically, much to the alarm of a nearby novice. He really must learn to control that urge to laugh maniacally; it was really a bit of a dead giveaway. The boy would have to d__. Wait, could prove useful (also rather difficult to explain his disappearance). "I mean you no harm. You MUST believe me..."

For all the action that had been going on, for all the conflicts and turmoils of events Marie laid in the back cabin of the ship in a dazed state. Images flickered through her mind, voices lulled her into a dreamy state and she was now passively sitting in the kitchen chair, arms crossed outwards and legs sprawled. Only when the darkness broke away she noticed the airship's empty space....
Slowly she brought her heavy lids to lift and wondered if she was sick or not. The artifact within her wouldn't let her die at any cost and now she felt as if her coexistance with the artifact was mutual or parasitic. She gave it mobility, it gave her the power to survive. She had no intentions of bein strong, no intentions of harming anyone or overthrowing a government, but she felt with so much around her she would have a problem staying alive without the artifact. Already it had brought her body in a suspended state; it may have been weeks but now she felt it was much longer. However, her body had shown no sign of change...
Her hair as she recalled was slightly shorter but she had not aged. No weight gain, no addition to her height, her outer shell had not aged and yet she gave no thought to it. Had the artifact made her ageless? Would she be immortal(she's already eternally youthful but she doesn't know that =P)? She paused, seeming conflicted with the thought and wondered if parting with this power would really benefit her. Maybe if she was to escape worlds away, retreat behind the gate of her being, would she really be safe afterward? She could only wonder but it seemed if she didn't take action soon her plans would be compromised.
