And spanakopita.

Had to google spanakopita. Hmm. It's green on the inside. *suspicious look*

You should try some. Shame, you Finns don't have any proper food.

That's why nothing larger than Piu can thrive there.

We have mämmi and lanttu. I eat the mämmi and Piu gnaws the lanttu.

I'm not sure I'd try that.

I think I need to send you a cookbook from our country.

Even some of my own culinary creations.

Krabo, I had already heard of the Moberly–Jourdain incident, but thanks for the link. I read about it years ago in one of my father's books.

Thank you for the link to the two time slip stories, Enviro, they were interesting to read!

Moomin, I Googled Charlotte Sometimes, and that book sounds like something I would have loved to read as a child.

Well, if that ain't the rodent calling the cockroach "nasty"! :eew:

(Not particularly relevant, I just like the saying. :P)

Whatever it is in Cockroach96's picture, it actually doesn't look frightening because it is so big. I wouldn't let one climb up my sleeve, though. But... er... can they fly? 8O

Some of them apparently can. Not sure if its the black or brown ones; would have to re-google to refresh my memory, since entomology isn't really a subject that lights my fire.

English is like a homeless man. It beats up other languages in alleys and steals their vocabulary.

Awesome, they're so fascinating! It's a Dynastinae beetle (a subfamily of scarabs), but I'm not sure about its exact species. Either way, it's pretty awesome to think about those huge beetles. They like nectar and fruit, and are used as pets some places.
And yes, they can fly, but due to their size they're less efficient fliers than smaller beetles. The Hercules beetle uses 1-2 years to go from larva to beetle, which is pretty long for a bug.
