Syzygyish really does wear a spacesuit at all times, B9 really is a robot, and Babybird is a recently hatched Emu.

And Envirozentinal is a Leprechaun.

I have some Irish in me, and an attraction to rocks.

^ I think you're supposed to have a large pot of gold hidden somewhere. :P

Sylkat has mentioned tie-dye a few times, I see her in a tie-dye t-shirt and elastic waist (or maybe drawstring) trousers.

I try to look 'normal' when I go out in public, but at home I dress comfortably.

I think he's trying to imply that I might not dress at all. That was the one time that I answered the door like that, and it was very early, I wasn't awake and thinking properly yet. On the bright side I don't think we've seen Jehovah's Witnesses at the door since then. :P

I have an aversion to cheap velvet type fabrics. When I was little my mother used to try to put me in velour, and it used to result in screaming meltdowns.

Velour? Did she think you were a book?

Can't blame you for meltdowns under such circumstances...

What can I say enviro, it was the 1970's. There was a lot of brown velour and orange nylon. For some reason she was also overly fond of 'sailor suits' with scratchy collars.

Shudders.

Thank goodness once she was gone my dad didn't care what I wore, as long as I was dressed.

I have a sudden image of 'The Partridge Family' clothes with big collars.

Krabo is obviously a tall blue eyed Finn with thickish blond hair, no sign of major graying and resembles a lean and hungry wolf.

I picture her as having straight dark brown hair, rather long. Moomingirl I see as somewhat similar, but slightly younger looking despite them being about the same age.

I picture Krabo as very similar to what you said. That's weird that we imagined him so alike.

Enviro has lighter brown hair than the girls and an open, friendly face.

Kip I see with really dark hair. That's down to his name. Kiprobalhato sounds dark, so his hair is. Am I the only one here who thinks names sound dark or light? Is that some form of synesthesia, or is it common?

Skilpadde is actually rather tall for an honorary chelonian and much less wrinkled than they. She also pops her head inside her shell from time to time but gets too lonely then.

That's pretty spot on!
And yes, a lot of chelonians are smaller than me, and they are far more wrinkled. But chelonians make wrinkles look good! :D

And age is not important to an aspie. We are ageless. :D

I think there is truth to that. In a lot of cases it's impossible (for me at least) to tell the age of people here, and we get on so well, despite there being such an age disparity. ASD forums are the great equalizer.

I definitely don't see names as dark or light, although I do sometimes get ideas of how I think people look.

Skilpadde, you are shorter than I had imagined, but I see you with dark, wavy hair, shoulder length or shorter.

I do have dark brown hair (this week it's "iced chocolate") but only because it's out of a box. My hair is naturally mid brown with quite a bit of grey. I have been dyeing it one colour or another for years. :P You are right about me looking young. I just had my fortieth birthday, but until a few months ago I regularly got ID'd when buying alcohol. I thought I hadn't been asked for a while because I got lazy about the dyeing so there was a lot of grey showing, but annoyingly I haven't been asked since I turned 40.

Spot. On.

Must just be me then.

Yeah, I'm the shortest person in my family. My hair is what is called dark blond or brownish blond. Which means it looks rather light brown. (I wish it was darker). It's "boyish" short (not like Legolas!) It's actually straight.

I look young too. At 30 I was asked by a neighbor if I was still in junior high or if I was in high school now. I look young, am short and live with family, so... The only bad part of looking young is fear of not being believed in regards to being old enough to buy alcohol, and when dealing with important officials like customs, (or even worse, police, but that hasn't happened so far).
My face still looks pretty young but there is the occasional grey in my hair now, so we'll see how long it will last. It was a good run. But I want it to last!

As a child my hair couldn't decide who to take after so my hair was all colours - patches of red, blond and brown and my mom described me as "piebald". Gradually it got a little darker and today there is no sign of reddish auburn hair - its sort of medium brown with a very slght reddish tinge to it. No real grey hairs to speak of and my half-sister admits to being a bit jealous as she has some and is 33, which is just under 18 years less than me. Her husband looks older than he is too, but insists on wearing a beard, which usually makes one look a bit older.

I have a friend who has dark hair and just turned 50 and he also has no grey hair, just thinning slightly.

I have blue eyes and fair complexion, not the type that can develop a nice olive tan. I look like a lobster after too much sun, or like that red crab. I wear glasses or contact lenses, and look OK when I smile I guess. Everyone looks better when they smile though...

Skilpadde I think you look quite a bit like I imagined you to look. I know what Kip looks like as he's posted to the pics thread, and you are indeed accurate.

I don't think any of the ladies on this thread are part of the high heels brigade. They all prefer comfort to style and books to makeup.

It would be fun to arrive at Oslo airport and see if I could recognize Skilpadde among the crowd...

I do think that a green turtle with a red mask might stand out, even in Sweden.

But she's in Norway isn't she?

Where green turtles with red masks are found in abundance, there being plenty places for them to hide among the rocks along the fjords.
